I was just reflecting last night, one of the reasons I was a bit wary of drafting him over JVR is I was worried he was a vanilla lead-mark-kick one trick pony.
I couldn't have been more wrong about that if I tried! He must be one of the most dangerous KPF's I've seen when the ball is on the ground in general play. He can create goals out of anything.

If he plays a full season next year he'll kick 60 goals and the non-WA media will be dumbfounded as if it were a surprise. Then those with less integrity will pretend they knew all along that he was amazing this year as a 19 no1 KPF.
There are only 12 players in the league that have kicked more goals than him this year. Closest in age is Ben King who has 4 years on him. But the only person outside WA who I've heard mention him as a genuine rising star contender was Josh Jenkins this morning.

Palmer was a rising star winner. He beat Cyril who ended up a 100x better plater.
Recognition from a few AFL staff at Melbourne HQ has no bearing on his so far very promising career.
