Happy to get Murphy at this pick. He was my son's favourite of this year's draft so he's pretty wrapped. Can see him and Cooper Simpson clicking well together with fast hands, speed and footy smarts.

As a club we need to be able to hold on to recruits from anywhere, otherwise we exclude ourselves from some top shelf talent.

Pretty sure Dave Mundy was Vic metro, as was Andy Brayshaw. Not all of them are mummy's boys like Cerra.

This kid will be part of our first premiership - big incentive to stay.

Get that given the bad taste of Cerra leaving... pretty sure Andy was Vic Metro though but admittedly had the WA family connection.

Is Murphy Reid gonna get game time for the dockers in 2025?

Yeah he is pick 17.

I think he will spend most of 2025 in Peel then play 3 or 4 dockers games next season.

I am not expecting a lot from him next season, even if he is a 1st rounder.

bounce hand pass. Excellent quick clean hands, good decision maker with an accurate kick. Seems to snap accurately, there’s a lot to like.

Struggle to see where he can break into the 22 though. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

I have conviction in my melt so no problem.

Will likely be a fine inside mid however I didn't want him for the same reason many didn't want Allan, as an example. I think that our midfield is far too one dimensional.
