All of my knowledge of the draft comes from the Bigfoot draft board, mainly Knightmare.
Following O'Driscoll through the draft discussion phase, he seemed to start off as a top 10 pick and then slowly slid as the draft approached, from memory there were concerns over his pace and scope for further development...I'm not seeing a lumbering finished product at all.
The club has done a great job in recruiting leaders and players correct mindset, Brayshaw being the obvious example.
He has had a great debut but as with all young guys development is more a marathon than a sprint. But his size, pace and physicality is an exciting addition.O'Driscoll had high expectations coming out of his underage season, fair to say he didn't quite reach the same heights in his draft year. The biggest queries seemed to be on his best position and his kicking. Knightmare for example saw him as an inside mid with his size and rated his kicking as poor. I maintained any kicking issues were overstated and a product of being under pressure in close - hence wing being his best position. Early days so far, but his development looks to be greater than I was anticipating.
He did divide opinion though. eDPS kept him higher than most throughout the season.
Our side of young "likely 250 gamers" makes the next 5 years of draft irrelevant if they all stay healthy and live up to potential.Absolute gun - 250 game player right there.
That creates other issues though…. How is our cap looking? Our side of young "likely 250 gamers" makes the next 5 years of draft irrelevant if they all stay healthy and live up to potential.

Was O’Driscoll a Dockers supporter growing up?
A life-long Freo fan, Nathan O’Driscoll was understandably over the moon when he was drafted at pick no.27 by Fremantle in the 2020 NAB AFL National Draft on Wednesday.
Having seen his sister Emma join Fremantle’s AFLW team a year prior, O’Driscoll couldn’t be happier to make Freo a family affair.
Trew fell off the radar a lot through that season. All clubs passed on him in the end and eagles only took him with their last pick in the rookie draft. Haven’t seen much of him Since then and if he’s fit the last few weeks and still couldn’t get a game over there with all the chaos it’s not a great signHe has had a great debut but as with all young guys development is more a marathon than a sprint. Pre-draft I remember a few discussions with WA posters advocating Trew as a similarly ranked local option. As Leunig says "things just seem to fall apart".
Not signing Cerra for $750k per season probably helps with cap space. That creates other issues though…. How is our cap looking?

The best solution to cap pressure is a combination of a strong local group of players, and being a serious shot at a premiership. That creates other issues though…. How is our cap looking?

* the other obvious cap pressure solution is to only have players nobody else wants.
Hopefully Joel Western rounds off the QuadrellaGoing to go early and say he is the most natural wing man we have drafted since stephen hill.
2020 draft: 14 - Chapman. 27 - O driscoll 50 - Walker.
How do you like them apples?
Suma might've been right for once.Trew fell off the radar a lot through that season. All clubs passed on him in the end and eagles only took him with their last pick in the rookie draft. We definitely need to level that playing field.I think you're forgetting the third option aka the Carlton method...
Yeah I remember that and wondered if Suma was trying to do a Darling with him.Suma might've been right for once.
