Another very good game. The way he and Newcombe rallied the troops in that second quarter was fabulous. We are so very lucky to have the Worpedo. You just know you're going to get consistent, contested dominance. But he has also grown to become much more involved all around the ground and has improved his skills to become a bigger part of our attacking forays. A very good comeback year for James Worpel.

He was very very composed today and constantly wriggled his way out of heavily contested passages of play. Has had a fantastic year but today he seemed to go to another level which TBH I didnt think he was capable of. His disposal was top notch as well.

That's something I've really noticed this year is how much more composed he is. It's been fantastic to see him in such good form and such an integral part of our midfield success. They are working so well together.

We were rightly raving about the Duke treating Weightman with utter contempt, and for his fend off into a double-spin and laser on his opposite in a tight corridor on the wing.

But IMO the play of the day was Worpel taking on three tacklers at the centre clearances, standing up in that contest, spinning around and dishing off to Newcombe who goaled.

Edit: Newcombe didn't goal from that play, it was a different Worpel clearance that led to Newcombe's goal.

We've had some great goals down in Tassie against the Dogs. Especially from the centre.

That, along with with Buddy's goals down the wings, are some of my favourite goals I've seen! You can watch it a hundred times and still not understand how he pulled that off! Kinda like Draymond's magic pass to Klay.

If you'd told me this a year ago, I'd have been somewhat "meh". But after the year he's had, I'm *ing stoked! Hope there's further contract extensions in his future 🙏
