Gone from the whipping boy last year back to a fan favourite!

Stoked with this news, had a slight fear Geelong would offer him a decent contract, he is obviously smart enough to see a sinking ship ;)

Hard to believe he is only 24, love the kid and love what he brings to the club.
Geelong have told him they’ll make an offer once his hair greys or falls out.

From touch and go when Stephens was brought over pre-season, to a key pillar in the most exciting up and coming midfield in the comp. His turn around in form had been extraordinary. Looking and playing like he is loving his footy and his mates.

I guess no one remembers posting stuff like ‘the sooner we move on from the likes of Nash/Worpel/maginnes the better’.

Occasionally all three

Especially Jai, the way they teamed on Sunday against the dogs, it looked like they were waxing in the local park bullying the neighbours boys.

This guy doesn't get enough recognition for the effort he puts in every week.

He is a clearance and contested ball beast. For all the talk that he will be surpassed by every other player on our list, he was arguably the most important player for us today.

Keep it up Worps 💪
Completely agree. He's a heart and soul player and imho he should be very low on the list of players we consider trading.

Was great today. Ball use was meh but everything else is exactly what you need out of a bull mid.
He had a solid game and definitely never stopped having a crack. Was definitely one of our better players.

There was one very neat little one step kick inside 50 which was marked Moore I think.

It stood out to me as a real positive - as the majority of the rest of his kicks were just the standard Worpel blasts for territory.

Would love him to be able to set up team mates by foot better - and quite a few opposition midfield bulls can actually do that. It remains his clear RFI.

Still, he remains comfortably ahead of the “silkier” players in the pecking order - because he can stay involved for longer.

Heart and soul type player.

It's nice to have your Bontempellis, Dustys and Petraccas but they aren't able to play the way they do without the Libbas, Prestias and Vineys of the world.

103 games into his career and people still pointing out that Worpel's kicking is sometimes rushed and inaccurate.
Yeah, we know...

Doesn’t matter when his attitude to getting back in the team has been first class. I bet a side like Collingwood would love to have a bull like Worp at the moment. Gee we did well in that 17 draft. Worp at 45 Moore at 67.

Plenty of players taken before him no longer on afl lists

Always thought he would be our Ben Cunnington.

Stoked with his career revival after the removal of Mitchell and O'Meara.
