Low production. He was averaging 8 disposals, 3.5 marks and 1.5 goals in the WAFL reserves last year.

This year his numbers have jumped to approx. 10 disposals, 4.5 marks and 1.5 goals in the WAFL. Had a few quiet games, but also big bags where he's clunking everything.

Young key talls can take time. He's shown good improvement, and we've likely taken the punt thinking he can continue the same rate of improvement in our system.

Not sure about the quiet games. On one hand, he played in a few one sided games where the ball wouldn't have been up his end much, on the other hand, 'has quiet games' was the knock on him in his draft years.

Looks super fit and strong now...

I didn't even realise it was on. Welcome Scaifey I guess? Should we nickname him V8?
He finally reunites with his arch-nemesis Ambrose (D'Ambrosio). Naturally, Ambrose is quicker ;)

Josh Treacy from Freo vibes? Big unit, good kick. Hopefully he has half the mongrel that bloke has. All the best, Jasper!

Could the quiet games be attributed to being a part of weak teams. Hard for young forwards to get involved if the ball isn’t coming down.

Welcome to Hawthorn and the Jack Gunston school for Tall Forwards, looking forward to seeing Jack working with Calsher and Jasper and Ramsden and building a tall timber brigade up forward. Good Job MM and team.

It does seem to me a worrying sign about where they see Mitch Lewis' season going. Or am I being paranoid?

Paranoid. Lewis being injured highlights our lack of depth.

We have Chol and Dear playing above expectations, and 32-year-old Gunners guiding the way. We only have Ramsden at Box Hill, and he’s lacking some confidence right now.

Scaife adds to those stocks irrespective of Lewis.

Explain. I don’t understand
I'm just noting that we had a very short list a couple of years ago. now there's a LOT of height on it. Woudln't call it depth cos a lot of these guys haven't played or shown much yet - but it just shows the areas on the list we are trying to beef up

Based on that

++++ Controls the contest, looks clean with his ball handling, strong contested mark, and can kick well at range.

-- Looks a bit slow, completely one sided by hand and foot

? What's his running like? any elite tricks?

So that gives us Dear, Ramsden, Tucker, Easy, Reeves, Lewis, Blanck and McCabe - and now this guy. As talls on the list that aren't in the seniors.
What’s your point??
Dear is in the seniors
Blank, Lewis and McCabe are all injured atm
Easy played 2 weeks ago
Reeves is back up ruck and Tucker is developing

if nothing else He’ll be a welcome addition to the Box Hill team
I’m sure they’ll swing him forward and back to see just where he may fit
My immediate thought. Full back.
