Great kid and family. Expect him to play to more as a mid as his body develops, has played as a mid his whole junior career except the last couple. He will prove his worth!

Yeah, watching his highlights he’s played a fair bit there this year. He’ll be good. We really did need high end quality ahead of the ball. We’ve got that now. Need to get rid of the remaining small forward deadwood on our list and use those list spots to improve our depth in other areas now.

I'm not fussed about 45, I thought we'd cough up 29.

I shouldn't say this, but Berry reminds me a bit of young Michael Wilson in terms of body shape, hitting the ball hard at pace and clean one touch hands.

Obviously he won't be as tough as Wilbur as no-one is, but he has good qualities.

I guess I had talked myself into a tall forward but he can play from the get go. And they're all going in what was the second round in the old world.

That's one game in the last 3 years and he was so bad he was moved forward again the next week.

Just hope he's good enough to make our side come round 1. Definitely fills a desperate need. Really need him to be 10 year player from here, and a gun small forward for many years.

We really needed someone to slot into that round 1 side. Probably 1 mid short IMO, but happy to take a small forward if he is ready to go. Can't afford to have picked someone that'll need to be building in the SANFL.

He looks pretty slight in highlights reels, but after seeing the photo of him with Gray/Butters, i'm no longer concerned.

Only think that I like about this pick is that he’s a small that also leads at the ball.

To often our smalls just get lost in space and hope for a crumb out the back. Smalls that also lead at the ball create and are dangerous. Hope he pays off.

This is no judgement on Berry, but that's a shit highlights video. There were no highlights in it lol. What we can tell is that it looks like his kicking could be Butters like (but that's hard to tell), and he has some reasonable pace. The rest was all just uncontested simple stuff.
