Shit - there goes the coffee in the keyboard again !I reckon he will be the best CHB we have seen at the club since Michael Laffy and John Manton were running around for the Tigers.
At least having the payments from Centerlink for 9 kids would be more than the average Port player receives each week. Not all that happy then? You really like having 9 kids following you around to the Centrelink office all with different Dads?? Each to their own I spose! All the best though!
Be more than most people make in a year! Baby bonus FTW!!!At least having the payments from Centerlink for 9 kids would be more than the average Port player receives each week.
Mate, we had a heap of them (rookie errors) a couple of years ago.
It's amazing how a defensive strategy combined with more pressure on the mids creates an easier life for the backline. Playing in a settled outfit, well coached and with confidence around him should make all the difference.
Because really, rookie errors/panic in the backline is all about confidence.
Nope - will stay at CHB but will allow one of the forwards to drag him down to the leadings edge of the square with the press, suddenly turning him into a weapon - will make oppositions change the way they apply the press against us and open things up. Tried it this year but we never had enough on the park to cover him so he had to float a bit further behind to cover fast breaks and it wasn't as effective.I hope we will play Griffiths in the forward line more often! It will be great to see him bomb it from 55-60 m.
SUSHHHHH !!!!! andy d might be reading.lolTanking?
Guys can we lay off getting stuck into Port, remember not so long ago we were considered a basket case as well.
Im guessing we would have done due diligence on this during the whole process of getting him to come over
who?
hoep chaplin works out - everyone just dont have too high expectations!?!
I assume it's the years he was after and not the cash, ie he comes relatively cheap?
I'm with most Port supporters here, even against us the last few years we've looked the most like causing a turnover against Port when the balls been in his hands. And for a guy his size, he should be crunching guys. So let's not start carrying on like he's the messiah. He's been recruited to fill a roll. Let's hope he can do that.
And I don't think there's been a lot animosity shown from Port supporters at all. Sort of liken it to us trading Jackson to a team after a tagger. They'd probably be happy with the result, where the majority of us would be "meh, whatever". No need to start ripping in.
Exactly! We win a few games and showe some promise and how quick some forget the three decades of largely mediocrity.
Port have been premiers, grand finalists and even regular finalists over the last 10 years ... a bit of respect!
Agreed. If they get Hinkley and draft well, it'll be a solid base.Guys can we lay off getting stuck into Port, remember not so long ago we were considered a basket case as well.
I guess it wasnt. It'd be a bloody shame if we don't get to use the video highlights that you have no doubt put together.
I genuinely like Port and it gives me no joy to see them in the position they currently are.Guys can we lay off getting stuck into Port, remember not so long ago we were considered a basket case as well.
Is that Takashi off revenge of the nerds?!?Very important pick up for you guys. Well done.
Another great pickup by the Tiges. I was so sick of hearing opposition Port supporter trashing him as a player so I looked up his stats. The number one thing Port supporters were give it to him about is his disposal and decision making.
Last year he went at 78.4% disposal efficiency. Now to put that into perspective the Port team disposal efficiency was A LEAGUE WORST 70.5%. Port averaged 48.9 clangers of while Troy averaged ONLY 1.7 of which placing him 25th on their list for clangers.
The most interesting of his stats was that he averaged only 0.4 free kicks against a game. Compare that with Carlile’s 0.9 free kicks a game. Troy also had .9 more tackles a game and .5 more contested possessions a game compared to that of Carlile making his free kick against count even more impressive.
He ranked 4th in the league in Time on Ground at 97.9% in 2012.
And ranked 11th in the league at rebound 50’s at 3.9 which signals that Port WANTED the ball in his hands coming out of defence.
Port supporters can trash him all they want must rest assured we have ourselves a player that will make an Ivan type impact.
Is that Takashi off revenge of the nerds?!?
Sank you very much!!! HahaOh Hair pie! Hair pie!
