I don’t care if he never becomes a mid or winger if he keeps on doing what he does off a BP/HBF. I know he’s already a big lad but I suspect he’s still got a few more levels physically with extra pre-seasons.

The end of season nominations are generally more weighted over a period of time than one week so would be surprised if Roberts got it despite good stats.
Think Logan Evans of Port is his biggest contender this week. Was really good against Freo and has been really impressive since joining in the mid season draft
Not the biggest thing if he misses out. Lots of good players have missed out, including Libba. Doesn’t make his season any less impressive. Really should have got it last week though

Sorry, was talking about the Essendon one who has just came into the side.
The Sydney one started and ended the year on absolute fire. Just fell out of favour in the middle of the season for whatever reason. Otherwise might have had a chance of Bradbury-ing it with no Reid or Darcy

One of the rarest traits in a player is to win the ball in a frenetic passage and seemingly make the play seem to slow down around him.
Very few players have this trait. Bont has it in spades, Bob Murphy had it.
You almost never see it in players taken outside of the first round.
Freijah has it. Looking like an all time steal.

This guy. This guy has something about him. He takes it all in his stride. I want him closer to where the crucial decisions are made. He has time and poise. He's physical. He's not fazed by reputation or circumstance. He's a winner.

You've got a good one. Through juniors the game just seemed to slow down when he had the ball. Had more time than others. Bont & Pendles have it at AFL level. Looking forward to following his development.

His ceiling last year was kicking 7 goals in a game from the wing.
I'm not sure the club would be surprised by his ceiling, but I'd guess everyone is shocked at how quickly he's developed. It's pretty rare.
