Look no one hopes he can make ir more than me and many lion supporters , his problems had nothing to do with the club , your comments about our club are totally false , he was given every support imaginable, he was homesick and wanted to be closer to family end of story. Do I think he will make it ? No I don't but let's see what happens.

Just one more troll for the road huh

Josh was just one of many young kids to go to your club and ask out at the first opportunity. The issues at your club have been widely reported.

You can tell yourself all of those players were just homesick and it had nothing to do with the club, if you want, it doesn’t bother me what tall tales you spin in your own head.

Like each of the players that found their way to better homes, hopefully you can get over it.

Reckon he needs to model himself on Ben Brown. Great kick for goal and in the field. Brown is a better contested grab but also is 5 years older than Josh. If he can develop those smart leading patterns, doubles, triples and fakes, then he can capitalise on those marks being such a good kick for goal.

Didn't mind him really.
Not the greatest in the contest but is fit, clean and has good skills.
Yep. If we can not hang him for not being the archetype white knight KPF, the type we've yearned and pined over since forever, that'd be awesome. We keep spurning blokes for not being Mr Right in this context. Just ****ing let him develop, play to his strengths and get some value out of him.

Bevo said he was happy enough with his first up effort and basically had a go at the small to midsize players for not locking the ball in, meaning he had little opportunity.

Half way through the last quarter someone asked about his performance and Carey was fairly positive about it.

Must of done some good stuff that we didn't get to see on the tv screen.

I watched him at the game. He certainly tried but there were moments he looked a little laconic or called for the ball where the player was no chance to get it to him.

That said he kept up and about. Bevo and Duck know what they’re after I suppose.

Personally thought he had a good debut in a pretty lousy game. There were some things I really liked. Occasionally his tackles seemed a bit soft and his second efforts not that impressive, but other times he looked like he was giving his all and looked polished. Commentators reckon he looked fit so hopefully we see some more of him this year.

He is a big puppy and will never have the flat out speed on the lead like Ben Brown so I think you've missed the mark with this comparison.

Needs to provide more defensive pressure (credited with zero tackles on Friday) but his kicking stands out.
If we seem him as a tall linkman rather than a vital KPF cog, then he should be ok.

Put on a nice block for rougheads 2nd goal and at one stage I mistook him for bont in the way he picked up a ball in congestion. On the flip side I saw one pretty half arsed chase although I think it was after a long lead. I saw enough to feel enthused about his potential.

Really enjoyed his game on the weekend, good building block for the future. Just needs to come in aggressive on Saturday. Him and Oscar will have a good battle

Had quite a few pressure acts listed on the stats sheet IIRC.

This revelation coincided with my discovery that the AFL app has pressure acts listed under the stats tab.

He's underwhelming but you got to apply the Ayce rule with this guy. Play him a few times in a row to get a real sense as to whether he'll make it or not. From what I saw, he didn't win a contested possession and doesn't look like he tries to.

6 contested possessions, 4 uncontested. Look harder.
