We got Harry Morrison for pick 75. Just saying that later picks can have a big impact.

We have basically got Scrimshaw for free. That pick differential unlikely to be more than 10 picks.

He hasn’t done anything at AFL level and there have been queries about his professionalism but he’s never seen what professionalism is. He has been exposed the least professional football club in the land with off field dysfunction and no leadership (in his time there every so called leader has tried to abandon the sinking ship - imagine that impact on a new recruit) He is now going to the most professional club in the country

Two years ago he was considered the 7th best kid in the country. I reckon we ignore what has happened at that cesspit of a club and see how he goes in our system.

Sounds like a similar type to Birchall. A real Clarko type who will hopefully takes Burton’s spot off half back

One of the things I like looking at his video is that he finds space with the footy, and people don't close on him.
And there's a big reason for that - plays with his head up! Opponents see him scanning for the next option and are afraid to close because they can see he's looking for the next outlet.

I really like the look of Jack, think he will be a star with us.

We'll likely finish in the 8, Gold Coast should finish on the absolute bottom. Depending where we finish it could be a 1 pick downgrade...

we have a kid who was highly rated as a junior but then got drafted by the Suns

he's on good coin so we got him cheap in picks

he's had his issues but he's at the club he grew up barracking for

I'm excited to see what the club can do with him and hope he becomes another successful trade for us

That is a bit crazy for someone that's only played a handful of games.

If these are the type of contract Gold Coast needs to make to keep young players, the AFL badly needs to step in and for the time being have payments outside the cap until they get their shit together.

Very excited by him , nice move. If anyone wants to watch more then highlights jump onto youtube and watch the 2016 under 18's all star game, Morrison was in the same game . Scrimshaw looked very classy in that game against the best .

To be fair to the Suns, the actual trading team was very good in the JOM deal. It's just that Cochrane got involved and overruled them at multiple points causing a deal that was pretty much done to have to be renegotiated.
