They have won flags consistently for the last 40 odd years.

Clarkson hasn’t away been there. I back them to get up again
Yeah not so sure. Boiling frog analogy applies. Been boiling since post that QF in 2016. They could have rebuilt by now, but haven’t really started.

Opportunism. Nothing wrong with that. These things happen - croziers, treloars, bruces, etc... Being in a situation with the salary cap to take advantage of them is a good thing.

Whats rubbish is desperately being in need of a type of player to fill a bad hole in the list and overpaying or constantly trading for spuds just because they fit the role. We know what thats like.

Treloar is the biggest trade steal we have ever got. And yes, that includes T Boyd. Treloar will probably keep Dunkley at the dogs too.... Just think about a midfield with Macrae, Bont, Dunkley, Treloar, Libba and Smith locked in for the next few years.
Lochlan Veale, the mischief of it.

I was thinking at the time that the pick swaps were almost a fair deal in themselves without Treloar being thrown in.
Yeah i was too, they 500 odd points to help with JUH was good enough anyway, to add a gun player that plays even better in our system is highway robbery :bulldogs:

He was usually tagged at the Pies because Pendles was a player that was hard to tag,
As somebody previously stated, he is free to roam wherever in our set up, and the fact his tackle numbers are good too, he must be thinking this is bliss.
If we are the club that finally gets him a flag, he will be the most grateful player ever.

If we were to win the flag this year I could see Adz and Dunkz giving a shoutout to Bucks and Dodoro.

On the Barkley street podcast treloar mentions he was playing at 91kgs last year is now down to 84kgs to help his hamstrings and play more outside.
That's a huge drop in kegs. Not sure what the science is behind helping the hamstrings but I guess it's plausible. I'll take it at face value.

91kgs for someone his height is really heavy.

Are you sure you heard that correctly?

A lot of hamstring injuries are caused by loading issues in the lower back and hips.
More weight on that area means more stress through the back that the body tries to compensate by spreading the effort other parts.

He said he had been at it the last couple of years, just went back and re-listened to make sure. 91kgs down to 84kgs

Sweet mate

I’m about the same height and when I was playing decent footy I was running at 82-85kg.

Not comparing myself to him in anyway but 91kg is a lot to carry on that frame and run the distances he does. No wonder he had hammy issues

Yeah it’s definitely heavy for his height and position.

Just going back and looking at his photos when he was first traded to us and him now you can tell he has dropped weight. I didn’t notice till I went back and looked.

I played at 110kg at the same height.... but then I had lots of leg issues playing Footy so switched to American Football. The non-endurance running didn’t lead to any leg injury troubles.

Anyone Treloars/my height shouldn’t be carrying above ~88kg and playing AFL.

110kg is enormous mate

may I ask muscle or fat weight

when I was 85kg I was pretty stripped and lean

I was a gym rat but I do have a broad shoulders. So, mostly muscle mass.
It’s why I can’t understand why Marcus Adams doesn’t trim down, so he would not be injured all the time. Not that he is out concern any more....
I cant maintain that rig with having kids. There isn’t enough time.

Yep never understood the Adams thing and why the club didn’t force him to trim down.

You have to be a genetic freak to carry that weight in a sport like modern AFL

Just on the Barkley Street podcast, and in fact his work on SEN, does anyone else think that Bob interrupts and speaks over the guests too much.

(Perhaps justified on SEN with Maher)

Treloar was about to make interesting points at various times but Bob had to chip in and take the conversation elsewhere

He is too clever by half. I like Bob but sometimes he needs to pipe down.
