Your defence and particuarly Luke Hodge won you the game. Our Forward looked like headless chickens. Our Midfield tried their guts out...It seemed for us it was 5 inside 50's for 5 points and you were 1 inside 50 for 1 goal (credit to your forwards aswell)..the lesser likes.

I don't even think you played anywhere near your best but still came out on top.

They are pretty gracious in their Grand Final losses cats fans .. they are used to it I guess.

Nah in all seriousness .. well done to the Geelong Footy Club. They are a great club and pretty consistant. Probably been as successful as any club over the years at making Grand Finals. They havent had a really bad year down the bottom. They avoided it in the late 90's by topping up on discards.

They were almost broke at one stage and its a credit to Frank Costa and Greg Cook? that they are flourishing and are the strongest footy side in the league.

I hope Hawks fans don't smug it up like you cats fans though .. we were already Public Enemy No.1 even before we won the Premiership.. Hate to see how we would be thought of if we became like Lunch Lady Doris and the like.

I feel that way about our 1984 loss to Essendon. I have no problems with the Don's 1985 win as they were the superior team... but 1984 still hurts.

No doubt Geelong was the best team throughout the season. However as we all know it is that 'one day in September that counts'.
