I guess it's a bit like a 2006-era Ryan O'Keefe type but 2cm taller.

I haven't seen Colledge play too much, just briefly this preseason. But why are we waiting for a Donnelly type? I mean he was a good player for us and all but I haven't been waiting 14 years for him to return or reincarnate (he hasn't even died and whose to know if he'll be human). I don't really want a player that plays football the way it was played 14 years ago.

I'm just pondering Colledge's likely role if/when he comes into the side. As much as there's talk of him going into the middle, I still expect him to be a high half-forward.

And amid all that, I probably got carried away by a bout of nostalgia for that glorious 1996 season, when the great Andrew Donnelly and his salon-quality raven locks came from the clouds. I apologise if it made you uneasy. I shouldn't have teased your fondness for petting soft things.

I hope Karpany is a Shane Bond replacement. Phil Matera was a better small forward, but you don't need to find exact replacements for players unless they have played in a premiership. We also need a David Hynes/Paul Harding type ruck man to play the Leigh Brown type role.

Ah i forgot to add Wellingham to the 2012 draft! I think we did well there after finishing top 5.

Ah i forgot to add Wellingham to the 2012 draft! I think we did well there after finishing top 5.

Add in Cripps to the 2012 class as well, been a handy pick-up so far

Donnely, Cousins and Braun all had amazing Sunsilk locks back in the day!

I understand what you're saying EH but vozzo in particular came in for a lot of criticism on this board in the lead up and aftermath of last years draft and trade period

Just maybe he (and his recruiting team) didnt do such a bad job even though its still a long way before we will know for sure how they did
