Don't mind a punt but pokies are abominable.
Agreed, having a punt for a bit if fun is fine, but I struggle to see the fun in staring at a machine while it sucks out your cash in front of your eyes, whilst surrounded by desperados holding their cup of coins.

I have a problem with your club leeching 18 million dollars across 13/14 from people who can't support their family. Only a family club could have morals of such high calibre.

We have a sponsorship deal with a casino that has all kinds of gambling machines. Your club actually invests in pokies machines and ruins families in the process. Spot the difference. It's just a slack source of revenue that dismisses any moral value the club may have, exploiting the theme of the poor staying poor and the rich getting richer.

Unlike expansion clubs like yours, we don't have the AFL as a 'slack source of revenue.'
Some of my fondest memories are being bullied in the 'play area' while mum was busy on the pokies.
Used to love getting little triangle sandwiches for lunch also. The only down side was it was usually at 4pm. Never understood why it was so late as a 4 year old.
Now if that isn't quality family time, I don't know what is.
