Yep Longmuir signed on a few weeks back.

I suspect Burns has taken the job that Voss was earmarked for.
If they do end up together at Collingwood they'll have plenty to talk about:

On Gillette Trade Radio, former Western Bulldogs champion Scott West says he has decided in the past couple of days to resign as coach of VFL club Werribee and seek another opportunity as an assistant coach at AFL level.
Just got this quote from the Trade radio website, I would be surprised if we haven't spoken to him, would be a good fit in my opinion, although I certainly would not be opposed to Voss as well as mentioned by a previous poster I would think that Burns just got the job that Voss was in the frame for.

I would have thought Worsfold would be the ideal director of coaching.

As someone with head coaching experience I think Voss (or someone like him) becomes a vey important person to target as a senior assistant since we are going to be light on for experience otherwise

I agree i don't think it would be appropriate for the ex coach to be involved in the new coaching group, the last thing Simpson needs is to be looking over his shoulder from the start of his tenure.
Well, we are certainly going to have that.
I would not like John Worsfold as director of Coaching if I was Simpson, maybe in a year or two but certainly not now.
He has to do it his way and any ties to previous coach must be cut.
Fresh start must mean fresh start.
Interesting that Harvey is now the senior assistant and Burns just the mid coach....surprised he would be happy going from a senior assistant to a line coach.

I look at our football department and I see a sick Danniher, a first year coach and Longmuir. This could get very ugly.
Eagle Scott West applied for the Essendon Coaching position and he is also been linked to a position back at the Western Bulldogs. Before Werribee he worked as a part-time midfield coach at Melbourne. Scott indicated he would travel anwhere to get an assistant coaching position: We probably have spoken to him if he developed our midfield to the way he played he would be a good get.

Burns, who played 265 games for the Magpies between 1995-2008 and captained the side in his final season, will work as an assistant under former teammate Nathan Buckley.
The Pies are restructuring their coaching panel after director of coaching Rodney Eade took on the role of general manager of football, vacated by Geoff Walsh mid-season.

. West was a tough "in-and-under" midfielder who was hard at the ball, especially around the stoppages, and was regularly one of the leading possession accumulators in the competition. wiki
Yep, a real good "first hands" type player.

...but didn't do a whole lot of damage with his high number of possessions, that's the knock on him.
