I think he may be more of a part time midfielder or even wing than a forward pocket. Not a natural set shot for goal.

Definitely worth persisting with even though he stuffed up.

Kicked a great clutch set shot goal. It was tough conditions and he nailed it.
Brockman was really good when he went into the middle.

Reid kicked a nice clutch goal too. One handed pickup from a handball that went behind him and got the ball to boot really quickly with a guy on his heels.

Barnett was pretty average but had an ok last qtr when the game was on the line.

I reckon some of these WAFL guys think they're better than WAFL and aren't putting in the effort as they would in AFL.

Sometimes they look strutty etc

This is very true, once drafted I reckon some of the see Guys believe they are better players than they are. Many are drafted on potential only and don’t realise that right now they are pretty average footballers which gets confirmed in the WAFL as they struggle to have any impact.

Top Performers

Jai Culley

“Outstanding game from Jai, whether at a stoppage or in the air, he had a massive impact. His last half in particular was match-winning.”

Jack Hutchinson
“What a whirlwind few days he’d had. We probably weren’t expecting the game he had, getting picked up in the mid-season draft during the week, flying over to Perth, meeting his teammates and a bus trip to Northam. To produce the game he did and have the impact he had with five goals is a testament to his professionalism already and how well he fits in with the other players

Harley Sparks
“Second week down back for Harley, and he’s growing. I thought he had a really strong game last week but he looks more comfortable again this week and he’s putting together an impressive month of football down back.”

Clay Hall
“Big game from Clay, he was a traveller with the AFL squad as an emergency last week, so to come back and have the impact he did off a weeks rest was really impressive. Some real highlights with his transition and he’s really building a nice block of form.”

Tyler Brockman
“Brocky had a big impact on the game, in the last quarter we put him inside when the game got tight and it probably coincided with us piling on the goals and getting us the break. His ability to impact at stoppage was impressive, but before that, his work up forward with his pressure and his chasing and creating turnovers in our front half really set the game up for us.

11 named in the side this week (think I’ve counted correctly this time) - J.Williams drops down to join Barnett, Hall, Johnston, Burgiel, Brockman, Reid, Livingstone, Dewar, Jamieson and Baker.

Hopefully two of Trew/Rotham/Rawlinson to come in.

Ideally for team balance Roth and Trew both play and Rawlinson is held over.

That would give us 13 listed players and pretty balanced throughout.

Should be pushing really hard for a third consecutive win.

Would he be subject to the WAFLs concussion protocols? I think they are different to AFLs

Covered above I believe by eaglevision, 3 for the WAFL as opposed to 2 for the AFL but since AFL gets better medical which he has access to then it's only 2 minimum for him

Liking the early signs from Archer Reid. Has some really clean hands off the deck for a beanpole. Hopefully can get a clean run at it fitness wise
