Brander was okay for the first 3 quarters then just disappeared.
Saw him do a few nice things, so I took the chance to watch the replay and had a very close look at his 4th quarter.

Lined up in defence at the first bounce, applies good pressure on the last line to help save a shot at goal.
4:30 Goes back with the flight and spoils Braut.
7:00 Moves onto a wing
9:30 Marks a Witherden kick from defence, passes back to Witherden on the wing.
12:30 Starts at the centre bounce, great contested collect and handball across the shoulder to Hutchings running through. Almost P. Cripps-like
14:00 Attends stoppage on the wing, Vardy gives away a free.
15:45 Throw-in forward-wing, sharks the tap, breaks a tackle and turns inboard, quick hands to O'Neil who pumps it forward.
17:00 Seems to be back in defence or off the ground, can't see him on-screen and we have it locked in our forward half for a few mins.
23/24:00 (No timer on-screen) Spotted rotating in defence, where he remains. Doesn't really get the opportunity to impact the game from here.

Didn't break the game apart, and perhaps we were being cautious with his return from injury. But definitely didn't disappear.

Who did sokol have to defend him today ?
Zane Sumich.
Didn't have the strength or reach .

Sumich is four centimetres taller than Sokol so he'd have the reach, just not the experience.

At the end of the day, Sokol has kicked 23 goals in seven games this season and averages 2.16 goals per game over the course of his league career at WAFL level (214 goals from 99 games) which is a pretty decent output for a small/medium forward. I think he'd be a handy pick-up for any side but realise the club probably doesn't have him on their radar.

Upon further reflection I gotta say that was Witho’s best game at that level for us. Just shows how a fit Eagles squad benefits the BEAGLES. This is not everyone but guys like HEdwards LEdwards, Witho and Foley have looked much better at AFL level than they have for the BEAGLes this year.

Not me. I'll tune in here for the Ochre notes while he watches it from his parents subscription.

Went to watch the WAFL game on the West.com.au on my parents subscription today lads! Some thoughts...

- Gee Jarrod Garlett has some skills. He mainly played out of the square so had some set shots in the warm up as his only kicks - curled a few beauties from behind the boundary line. Hardly saw him miss a kick.
- What interested me the most was that Busher split his time between the defenders and the forwards, could be seeing a swingman role going forward in 2021. He was his usual dominant self down back in the first half before going to a forward role.
- Hamish Brayshaw is very fast - Aaron Black was playing on him and couldn't keep up.
- Deegan is pale as buggery and still doesn't really have the body shape you'd expect of a WAFL player.
- There was a big bloke who pulled up next to me and I could have sworn it was Zane Sumich's dad, but I'm sure I was wrong...
- Robilliard was the player who ended up kicking the team's one goal for the match today and nailed it. Celebrations were huge.
- No sign of Cedric Cox. Couldn't tell you why.
- Hug kicked on his right foot for 80% of the match, I reckon. Nice to see players working on their non-preferred so readily.
- West looked a class above the other midfielders bar Ainsworth. Just knew how to find the footy and wouldn't miss a target all match. #65 was very quiet and seemed to be taking direction from Ainsworth. Doesn't bode well for his captaincy credentials, maybe he doesn't want the gig?
- McGee looked on and was hitting targets left and right. Set for a huge second half of 2021.
- Jamieson went up against Vardy in the ruck contests and I'd say that Vardy has the inside running at the moment.
- Won't say too much about it in case I was just reading too much into it, but Trew looked as though he'd enjoyed the bye a bit too much. A few of the coaches pulled him aside and they were having quite an animated conversation before Trew sooked on the bench for the rest of the game. Good news for O'Neill, I suppose.
- A lot of running work again, clearly a focus even in the cold.
- Williams looked like he was doing a great job 'coaching' the younger forwards in between the drills. Marlin in particular seemed to be following him around.

HoneyBadger35 can you please give this clown an uppercut next time he’s on your casting couch

Should have Witherden, Williams, O’Neill, Brander, Foley, Hedwards, Ah Chee, Hutchings, Ainsworth, Trew, Jamieson, possibly Johnson and/or Collins, and two of the extended AFL bench available this week.

INB4 WAFL clubs start crying that we're TOO competitive with our stacked WAFL team, only weeks after everyone suggested we should fold.

I feel like West was picked with one eye on the future too. Ready made but at 22 he isn’t young either. As a mid he has the attributes the club needs to
