Sheed Gaff kelly and hurn all putrid, A lot of the others not even worth a mention, Everyone got out competed today by Ginbey and Jamison

Where is the common sense too, Hewett not fit enough for a whole game? Lets just sit him for 3 quarters then im sure thatll help fitness

Talk about a reality check, wtf was up with Hurn tonight was an absalute liability, Jamison tried hard but not signing a mature backup ruck in the off season is starting to look a bit embarrassing

Could someone more in the know please tell me what XON does well? It's clear he's not particularly good by foot or hand, can't evade/shrug a tackler, doesn't have pace. What is he actually good at?
Good question.

Answer : nothing. Career must be hanging by a thread.

He gets the ball, goes round in a circle, doesn’t know what to do with it, does an ineffectual disposal, puts a team mate under the pump, or turns it over.

Into his fifth season I think. Along with Foley, he was a poor pick.

I've been losing my s**t over this for the past 4 years - we can all see where this is headed.
The years preceeding 2022 I'll give you. Last year was a total write off.

I'm far from ready to write this season off from 1 preseason game, now that we have a mostly full roster to choose from. There are obvious attempts to play on faster, however Adelaide did very well at blocking the path forward.

There were glimpses, it will take probably at least this entire season for it to even start to become consistent.

Did you even watch the game? Was good by foot.

Agree, we didn’t have to go out and try and win the game at all costs but we could have used it as an exercise in breaking bad habits. Things like you’d teach at Auskick like urgency in getting up and back off the mark quickly so you can move the ball.

Instead we used it as a chance to get some more miles in some legs without getting hurt.

Let’s see how it goes in the real stuff, if things really change or we find a new convenient excuse for the fourth year running.

Adelaide beat Melbourne and Geelong in 2021 at peak rebuild because they were having a deadset crack, that’s all we want to see.

Thought Ginbey did well. Jamieson did well in the ruck. Going to take a while to get the synergy and game plan. Not expecting much from this year and that game kind of confirmed it. Sheed looked like a player who hadn't played for a year so did Allen. I think with NicNat and Darling back in that team will look a lot better.

I’ve decided the powers that be at the Eagles are absolute geniuses.

Realistically, we need two more years of great draft picks.

The AFL Integrity Unit (how’s that for irony?) will be keeping a sharp eye on us for any sign of tanking.

They’ll be looking for us to throw games by playing the kids.

Well the jokes on them because we’ll tank by playing the senior players.

See genius.

Hewitt isn't God !
Not Yet No GIF

Will it be televised/on kayo at all does anyone know?
Doubt it

Probably for the best - already 2 goals to zip 5 minutes in

Clark, Witherden and Hewett all playing to get the extra minutes

SPS, Long, Winder, LEdwards, Burgiel, Foley, West and Trew all playing as well from what I could make out
