I don't know about the rest of you, but I was surprised that Prior didn't win AFLW coach of the year.

Well ............ actually...............maybe not.

The big questions are:-

Will we get a priority pick and if so how many.

Will other Vic clubs be willing to swap first rounders with us. We hold pick 1 (yes I am aware the expansion clubs will be ahead of us from a national perspective) but so long as our pick is before the Purples, we would still pick the same player.

Example - would we do the following trade - Pick 1 for Emma King and pick 10? Norf get the best of the Vics not taken by expansion and we get a bona fide ruck. Randall is the obvious one but SA have their own issues on expansion and I heard Chelsea has a job with the Crows like Hooker and has settled with her partner in Adelaide.

Apart from getting a proper list manager and a decent coach, there are things that Trev could do in the commercial and marketing to lure a top talent to us.

Gee, the Melbourne and Adelaide line ups there look ultra fit just during the anthems.

It isn't just the skills and tactics we need to catch up on big time, but the physicality and athleticism.

I can think of several of our girls as a starting point who shouldn't be selected until they rectify this.

I commented on this when we played Brisbane. It was the simple things like how the Lions ran hard to the interchange bench where our players looked like they were spent as they got off

Prespakis is a three-time best and fairest with the Blues and won the League best and fairest crown in 2020, while Gee has become one of the side's most influential players across the forward line.
Big loss for the Blues - has some skills.

“ But the reigning premier has targets of its own and is among a host of teams understood to be circling West Coast speedster Niamh Kelly, as the Crows look to bolster a list that has already taken the club to three premierships in six seasons.

Victorian sides North Melbourne, St Kilda and Geelong have also registered their interest in Kelly, an Irish recruit from County Mayo who has established herself as one of the competition's most exciting wingers after 22 games for the Eagles.”

We’re not going to have any players left at this rate :(

I would be totally devo if Niamh Kelly defected. :(:eek:

Trouble is with the current system it makes is almost impossible for us to draft adequate talent through the WAFLW as it is, let alone replacing the better players on our list like Kelly and Colier, whilst it hasn't yet been announced I am expecting Port to poach Ward as well.

Our mediocre stocks are going to be plundered further ........... for diddly squat compensation.

We are going to be a cellar dweller Club in the AFLW for the foreseeable future. :(

I will burn something if we lose Niamh

Most likely a small match in a safe environment but I’ll burn it while shaking my fist angrily

Watched Ella Roberts live today.

My word. My ****ing word.

Amazing talent. Once in a generation.

WCE better sort their shit out to ensure shes a one club player. CT being her best mate helps somewhat as does having Peel teammate Courtney Rowley there.

Well hopefully they give her the # 4 jumper so she can share the locker room between them both.

Biggie ...... what game was it today ?

Edit: Just checked WA v All Stars game today I see that Roberts & Wakfer named in WA's best, I would like both these girls at the Clubs next year.

Bartlett making the decision to cut her from our list look sillier and sillier by the day.

For real though?

Or are you just saying that, and then she'll join the side next year and look completely out of her depth, plus also have the support of less talented players around her.

Just saying what exactly?

Just saying what exactly?

Meaning we hear X player is a total gun, and then they join West Coast and appear far from it.

Not pointing the finger at you old mate, just in general.

Basically i expect Ella to get here and be a potato because Prior can't coach and the natural instincts of our talented youngsters (like Lewis) tend to be snuffed out.

You could argue she'd have more success with Peels coaching and development than she would in our professional environment. That's how bad our organization has been at developing our womans side over the past 3 seasons.

She’s a gun.

Hence why I said WCE need to get their shit together.

She’s clean in the ground, amazing over head, a piercing kick

I’ve no doubt she’ll change the fortune of a team, she is that good.
