Alright, lets take a look at the top 10 after the first three rounds and before we get back into the count...

dogs105 takes an early and demanding lead but just one vote separates the next three players with Pamcake1, Cubs2Lions, and HARPSichord battling for second place.

Rookie dino_67 sits seventh. Marklar_33, after playing just one of the three games, and the outgoing SM rounds out the last two spots of the top 10.

Gold City Royals (21.11 137) defeated West Coast Wonders (18.5 113)

A second away game in a row was no stress for the West Coast Wonders as they jumped out of the gates to double the Royals score by the first break. The Royals however, were able to bounce back and by the third quarter they found the lead and couldn't be knocked off the mountain by the end of the game as the Wonders went down by 24 points.

DenieD hit the target six times with six majors with seven kicks having a severe impact on the scoreboard, but it was dogs105 in the ruck that put on a clinic and was arguably best on ground collecting 20 hit outs, 20 disposals, and a goal. Cubs2Lions had just 15 disposals but kicked two goals to add to AnUltimateRessie two-goal tally alongside his 22 disposals and six marks.

West Coast Wonders (17.7 109) defeated Fighting Furies (15.8 98)

The Wonders needed to bounce back this week but a slow start had the Furies lead at every break including a 26-point deficit at three quarter time. BigChippa52, Oisin_the_Goat, and ClarkeM kicked back-to-back-to-back goals to open the final quarter to slim the margin and the goals kept coming. A DenieD goal 17 minutes in put the Wonders in front and never let go as we completed the game as 11-point winners.

DenieD's lead stealer was one of three goals he kicked in round five and was joined with BallaratBulldog and Oisin_the_Goat also kicking three goals each. The engine room was busy with Pamcake1 (22 disposals, 9 marks, 1.0), dogs105 (15 hit outs, 31 disposals, 1.1), Grand Uncle Horace (25 disposals), AnUltimateRessie (26 disposals), and HARPSichord (25 disposals, 2.1) getting amongst it.

West Coast Wonders (19.9 123) defeated East Side Hawks (19.3 117)

Coming off a bye, Sweet F.A pundits had the Wonders continue their slow starting trend but after putting in the work during the break they surprised the Hawks with an eight goal opening quarter that helped the newly re-branded Hawks never take the lead. The game got close in a final quarter but the Wonders were able to hold on to be six point winners.

A move into the midfield had BigChippa52 collecting 27 disposals and a massive nine marks. DenieD was lethal in front of goals with a huge six goals but was slightly inaccurate with three behinds. NinjaSwan (25 disposals, 5 tackles, 2.0), dogs105 (15 hit outs, 23 disposals, 5 tackles, 1.0), and AnUltimateRessie (26 disposals, 5 marks, 1.1) were all solid contributors.

dogs105 is now 44 votes in front and we can begin to wonder if that lead is going to be able to be beaten.
DenieD keeps just a one point buffer to be in second place with Pamcake1 hot on his heels.
HARPSichord and Cubs2Lions begin a fight for fourth place.

Coney Island Warriors (17.5 107) defeated by West Coast Wonders (22.20 152)

The Sweet FA's most exciting and most #undefeated team flew out to Coney Island to play the Wazzes in cloudy (goal-scoring) conditions. The game was a shootout in the first three quarters with both clubs going goal for goal. We ended up taking a slender 8 point lead into the last break. A rev up from the DictatAUR changed things and we actually started to play some defense while still attacking fluently. 7 goals to 1 in the last saw us run out 45 point winners. AnUltimateRessie led from the front with a monstrous 36 disposals and 2 telling goals. Cubs2Lions had a solid contribution with 23 and 2 while rookie phenom, Oisin_the_Goat, contributed with 6 snags. DenieD and dino_67 had 15 shots between them for 4.4 and 3.4 respectively.

Gumbies FFC (19.16 130) defeated West Coast Wonders (15.7 97)

A warm sunny day saw us push the reigning premiers for the majority of the match, but they were too good in the end. We jumped out of the gates early with 7 goals in the first quarter, but they came back in the second as we held a 7 point lead into half-time. Gumbies ran all over us after that, kicking 9 of the last 13 goals of the match.

dogs105 was once again exquisite in the ruck with 19 hitouts, 23 disposals and 8 tackles. Cubs2Lions continued his good form with another 23 disposal, 2 goal game. DenieD was efficient at full forward with 4 goals from 5 kicks, while Oisin_the_Goat was a deadeye with 3 goals from 3 kicks. BallaratBulldog also turned in a good showing with 18 disposals and 2 goals.

Ophidian Old Boys (15.8 98) defeated by West Coast Wonders (16.10 106)

It was a close game that came down to the wire. Q1 we led by 2 points, at half time were down by 1 and at 3QT, we were ahead by 5 points. It was just one of those games were of course we were going to edge out the old farts towards the end.

dogs105 played a blinder, 13 hitouts, 28 disposals and a goal - easy to see he was one of our better performers on the day. AnUltimateRessie had 28 touches and 5 tackles, ClarkeM 27 disposals and 6 marks, Cubs2Lions 29 disposals and 9 tackles, Pamcake1 the star however with 32 disposals and 3 tackles.
Others to impress included SM, SSwans2011, DenieD (although 4.7 was as wayward as you can get and it may have just about cost him the Fred!).

Cubs2Lions received 3 Mobbs votes and dogs105 received 1.

Plenty of rounds still to come but this will be your FINAL leaderboard update!

It looks like dogs105 is going to run away with it with a massive 61 vote lead, but he has a quieter back-end of the year. Is this about to go down to the wire?

Cubs2Lions sits SECOND but is soon to be moved to the half back flank, will that impact his placing?

DenieD, AnUltimateRessie, and Pamcake1 are all very close on votes and are fighting each other for that podium spot.

A few votes off is HARPSichord sitting quietly at 6th but could surge up the leaderboard shortly.

Grand Uncle Horace and BigChippa52 are still in the top 10 too, just one vote separating them.

Rookies Oisin_the_Goat and dino_67 sit 9th and 10th and will need a big back half to hang on to the top 10 or climb to a top five finish.

West Coast Wonders (15.6 95) defeated by Baghdad Bombers (16.9 105)

Unfortunately we let the dessert boys from Baghdad, in their already abysmal season, get the better of us this week. But there were some positives to come out of this loss at the very least.

DenieD added 4 goals to his tally, Pamcake1 continued in impressive form for a rookie with 24 disposals and 6 marks. BFew joined the party too with 24 of his own and 2 goals while club leaders in Cubs2Lions and HARPSichord were strong in the middle both racking up plenty of the ball.

Cubs2Lions was awarded 2 Mobbs Medal votes for his performance.
