Slight side note...what Division are the MSEFL in and did they play this weekend interleague?
Who gives a rats toss bag about mid s/e footy, it's a low league that gets talked up for no reason.
To answer your question there not in a division w the vcfl & sa country don't have divisions for interleague within s.a, they only play who is wanting a game each year they organise.

Here is a list of the blokes (or birds) representing your forum in the Bigfooty Rregional Leagues Fantasy Football League (BRLFFFL)
The four teams competing are the the Central Sharks, Donkey Floggers, the North-Eastern Wolves and the Western Wallabies.

These folks are representing you lot at the liest level, and you all should be proud of their efforts. Many big leagues (Ballarat, West Gippsland La Trobe, Eastern FL, THE WHOLE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA!) aren't represented at all, so these guys are making a hefty imprint on the virtual footballing community!! Maybe a quick visit to their match threads to talk 'em up and can their opponents wouldn't be out of order?

(If you are on this list, and there is a x in front of your name, this means you are yet to even read the private message I sent about picking a guernsey number. It means you probably aren't aware of the season in progress, and your club needs you!)

Peter Shepherd's clearance away from Heywood was simply allowed to slip through the by the looks of it, with the time limit up yesterday. Don't know if that was such a great idea by his club, as the boy CAN play, and given he has shown to be a fairly fickle character in the past he was probably a chance to come back.
They will struggle BIG TIME without him up forward.

does anyone play footy with adam mckenzie, from what ihave heard he f*cking loves himself and isnt even very good.... should he really be getting a game of rebels????

I'd disagree strongly and find him to be the opposite. He is committed to improving himself and have never heard him pushing his own barrow. He is in the Rebels I would imagine after a best on ground performance in the U18 Interleague game. Even though he had not played a full game for 5 weeks prior.

I have never spoken to the lad personally to know if he "loves himself" as you put it, but i have seen him play football and I can assure you that this kid has certainly got a lot fo potential.
You need to keep in mind that the Rebels team is not always selected on the best 22 kids available each week, but it is also a grooming process for the best potential for the future.
Although I have only seen Adam go around a few times I reckon he certainly deserves a chance at that level.
I also reckon that your comments are more a personal sledge based on something outside of football and you are just looking for an avenue to have a crack at someone without that person having a chance to reply, defend himself or even know who it is having a go at him, which is about as soft and insipid as it gets I reckon.
If this is the case you need to find a better forum.

How does everyone see things at this stage of the season? Saw Casterton play Portland on the weekend. Cats went alright. Dylan Kent is one of the best kicks for goal I have seen in a while. Portland doing what they have to at the moment. Got a glimpse of how good Squires is. Look out come finals time. Has anyone seen Imps play?

Imps look very fit and have very good depth in the twos. They don't really seem like a team full of stars, although Grant Ewing is very, very good, one of the best country footballers going around when he is on.
The Victorian Bulldogs just seem to have enough smart, well drilled players to run a very effective and very simple game plan to get its big gun, Ewing, the ball with great efficiency. They'll play finals, but whether or not they will have the class to beat a Portland when it gets really serious is another thing.

Well not far from the start of the second round and....mmmmmmm the top 5 is a toss up for the business end of the yr:
Portland
North
East
North
Imps/Cast !?

I was at the Millicent/West game last week, was'nt pretty but the saint's will get a few more un deserved backslappers before the yrs out.
Don't be surprised if they beat there arch rivals next week in East, they play well up at Mcdonald pk & have a good record there.
Hope to see Josh Warrior hang around......yes son of the mecurial EUGENE !! if not remainder of this yr HE'll be back yr after.
Agree & disagree with what Stafford had to say about interleague footy, he's shot himself in the foot really.....
And good to see WBFL stand up to that bush league that surrounds us (MTG - speaking) wb announced there grand final dates WELL before mid south east announced there's !!......so whats the mid s/e do !? program it exactly with the WBFL.
Good thinking Dennis & Fred :thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

I thought you didnt care about MSE ;)
I don't give two stuffs about the mid s/e !! i was making a point that the wbfl had their draw out well before the mid s/e had there program out, yet they still fixed it in on the same day as the wb gf - when they play one less final then us but spread their finals series over same amount of time.
Work that logic out !!

Steady on what do you mean undeserved if the sangers (christ knows why you'd want to known as a sandwich) win surely they have the right to slap each other on the back.

Bigant, Are North really so good that they will make the top five twice? (Second and fourth).
I reckon your top five prediction is pretty close, but this top 10 will be closer as of round 18, finals could change a few things though.

1 Portland
2 Imperials
3 North Gambier
4 Casterton
5 East Gambier
6 South Gambier
7 Hamilton
8 Heywood
9 Millicent
10 West Gambier

The positions most likely to change could be Casterton and North Gambier and Hamilton and South Gambier, while I've got Heywood in eighth simply because I don't back West or the Saints to make up the difference in the next 11 rounds (even though the Saints are only one game behind and yet to play Heywood). The bottom three are all as bad as each other at the moment and will probably split their games to see the season out, so Heywood's win over the Cats early in the season could be the difference.
I reckon Casterton are certainties to play finals if they can keep Dylan Kent out on the park, because that bloke CAN play.

Can anyone tell me how the ex mininera players are going this year? I see McArthur is playing CHB for Hamilton? What about the sherlocks? And at Imps is keilor and ferguson and day going? The ewing that is playing at glen now how did he go in your league?

Big win for North on the weekend over the highly fancied Portland. Hope things dont get too ugly next weekend against the mighty Roos. Although we did give it to Hamilton for 2 and a half quarters on the weekend. Go West

Big game this Saturday when Millicent take on Heywood, its eighth v ninth, geez the tension is HUGE on this one.
Perhaps these two sides could get together after the game and talk about their respective Shepherd brother leaving midseason?
Rosewater must be loving it!

What an even season we have this year in the WBFL. One game seperating 1st and seventh. If North had of lost on the weekend they would be 7th not 2nd. Thats how close things are. This weekend will sort things out a little with Imps v East, South v Cats, Portland v Hamilton. You would expect Port to beat Ham. but the other two games are up for grabs. Will be interesting to see which teams grab the opportunity.

This thread seems to have gone very quiet. Has everyone lost interest?

It is the calm before the storm. With finals coming up the Western Border is about to get interesting. Hamilton downing South on Saturday gave the finals chase a bit of a shake, and I reckon Imps got a bit of a reality check against Portland too.
Who would have thought Millicent would get that close to North?
On a different note, what odds would you have got of at the start of the season on North and Millicent's reserves being equal on wins at this stage of the season, fighting for a place in the finals?

Plus, what is going on with the gap between the Victorian and the SA under-18 teams?
Is it that the development process in Victoria works that much better, or is there a difference of age levels between lower grades and Western Border in the two states that causes the void?
