Re: Western Region Football League team

y not have 3 umpires in finals bigger grounds take its toll on them as they get tired they make mistakes y wasteborgy on bench watchng ?afl do it y not wrfl finals only ?com on gunny so sum brains mate

Now that is a good idea,no reason why they shouldn't.

On to another topis who from each club have been invited to the priest medal? interesting from our club it was only saul caddy,he must be very close, after last year we had 5 in the top 10 so he should be very close.
GOOD LUCK SAUL!!! but first lets knock off the warriors tomorrow and get a crack at spotty.

How did Julier not get a call up. no disrespect to your win last year but i have always felt the umpires don't get it right when giving votes in this league. Caddy should poll well so should Broadbent and Keenan. Thoughts?

Re: Western Region Football League team

I think from memory only Puhar & Keenan from Spotty maybe wrong but suprises me Kelly, Harris & Theodore didnt get an invite.

Very surprized harris and theodore didn't get the call, Kelly i think had a few injuries so would have been down from previous year.

You deserved all the votes you got ROCK no doubt, i think the umpires go missing in some games. 5BOG's could easily win it 15 votes. one thing for sure is that favourites haven't polled the greatest. Have no idea how Arena and Ibraheim won Priest Medals the last real favourites winning that i can remember were frost and Venner

Broadbent and Turner from Albion. They will take votes from each other.

Every good team has players taking votes from each other but one players still wins it.
Whats the average winner been getting the last few years???

last years winner had 14 with 5 people on 12 and 3 on 11. from memory winners do not poll over 18 can anyone think of someone who has. Not shaw what McGaw or Ibraheim or Arena voted though. Thought Boofa McNaulty may have polled some votes too but no invite so who knows?

Re: Western Region Football League team

SWANEES how did hoppers team look on paper last night?????? we will be just missing chisnal and bracken from the last encounter but have some handy inclusions so we are very happy with our line up and looking forward to another great contest between two of the wrfl great clubs, hopefully we get a win and get a chance to play in our 4th consecutive grand final...

Heard Chisnal broke his ankle is this true? so ROCK be honest should we expect Masis to pop up tomorrow. Have been saying colts all along tomorrow but after seeing Hoppers team you guys may actually get a run for your money. Heard the Werribee ground is pretty hard under foot can't be good for the body. Even Webby is sore at work and he didn't do anything!

Webby will be fine got a corky against hoppers first time, has had treatment this week and trained more freley last night than he has all year expect a big game from him and it was my fault last week trying to play him up the ground when he was sore.
Chisnal has a broken ankle that is unfortunate for us but it gives another player a chance the same with mick bracken his knee has him out for the rest of the year but gives someone else a chance.
We only have 2 players that are yet to play in a premiership at the club so we do have a strong line up,although we loose chisnal and bracken we are able to bring in 2 premiership player so that is a bonus for us.
I'm sure hoppers will give us a run for our money that didn't finish 2nd for nothing and the harder and faster the ground the better for us...
As for masis well let's just wait and see.........it ain't over til it's over..

What number is he heard alot about him on BF but dont remember him when we played them, thought little Ali was very good on both occasions for St Albans and Spooner is a future star of the comp, are you blokes leaving or staying.
St Albans V Glenroy in the EDFL be more fun watching the crowd rather than the game

Re: Western Region Football League team

Good Luck to the Port Colts Senior and Reserve teams tomorrow,
looking forward to watching the young blokes in the reserves having a big influence on the game, namely Jase Perkins, Kane Heffernan and Matthew Bellingham.
All 3 look to have been a cut above their opponents in the previous 2 finals and should have a big influence in tomorrows game.

Once again good luck boys and hopefully the Colts could take out 2 flags in 8 days time.

I would throw young Nathan Davey in there has killed as a lone ruckman coming from the 18s. Intresting that that they finished Heffernan Perkins Davey in that order in the B & F great players of the future.

Agius is #9 played on the wing this year. Ali played most of the year in the 2's spooner goes alright for a 19 year old
have heard all the rumours re: leaving, we are in dispute with the league but can tell you we havnt applied to go any where else. you will just have to put up wlth our crowd a bit longer.
