Re: Western Region Football League team

Does anyone know if the WRFL Footy show is still on? If so what day and time?

I would too. They are a great bunch of guys down there. I don't think you couldn't have any better blokes leading the club than the 3 that bave been chosen. Maybe you could have thrown the every reliable Elton in there but at 38 there probably isn't a real lot of football left in him. I wish John Ellis and Clarkey all the best and I honestly think with the players you have picked up you are going to be in the mix of things come September.
I thought he just turned 304 years old. Travvy43 i thought he could have mentioned Taylor, De Bruyn, McBroom, L Bracken, Burns, Stevens, Critch, Cox, Julier, Chiller, Piggy, Bellingham, Bonnet, Twomey, Sequenzia, Keeley, Winters, Jacobs, Kelly, Bird, Turnball and ive forgotten a couple. lol lol haha

my mate at parkside said figgy is going to play at parkside?

Not sure,
I saw that he had got a clearance to Sunshine, he'd probably be handy off a half back flank down there

Re: Western Region Football League team

well the wrfl is finally underway,it looks like all usual suspects will be in the finals again but think albion will trade spots with st.albans.
Well i think albion are going to be hard to beat if they can keep aaron james on the paddock, starts the year off with a lazy 11 goals, spotswood also look like they will be atop 3 side with a crushing win over the dissapointing sunshine.
Hoppers will also be very hard to beat but the lost of mcgaw could be costly during the finals.
now port colts and parkside was agreat game colts always had their maesure but in tru parks spirit fought the game out bravely and nearly stole the game, once both these sides get fitter and play a bit smarter will also be hard to beat

Crushing win was right when talking about Spotty's win over the kangaroos on the weekend. Spotty turned up to play and did it easy, too easy.

Interesting first round of matches though, apart form the colts/ parks game, very one sided across the board. I guess yarravile confirmed that it is going to be a long year for Seddon.

HEy Travvy is it going to be another season where the kangaroos fail to deliver after so much hype during the pre season.
What happened down there.

Still 17 rounds to go mate, but we will have to improve on the weekend's effort if we are to live up to this "pre-season hype".

St Albans at Sunshine the week after Easter.

Rippon and kelly both on the ball would have been omong there better players. also had a guy who played at half forward, changing on the pill who did some damage, unsure of name, but he wore number 38.

They run the ball well and had some hard workers running and rotating through the midfield. Very discipline unit that rarely stood still.

Will have something to offer come september for sure

Re: Western Region Football League team

Its confirmed, you are a dill. Lindsay isnt what you said he was, you should watch what you say about people, its all fun and games but i think you went a bit far. Settle down mate because you should look in your own back yard before you start throw insults around that dont fit.

Re: Western Region Football League team

Travvy Travvy Travvy what is going on down there with you boys? i watched and apart from the second quarter you guys were horrible, seemed to lack any leadership on the ground. Agreed you werent full strength, didnt see the ruckmen, think its millar, along with yourself and the younger linton, along with the red haired full back from last year. whats the go with you all? how long? Theres some talent there so its not all bad news, the CHF, new guy was very impressive.

Yeah i was waiting for a post from someone who was actually there on the weekend and your comments are spot on. I think 10 minutes of football in the second quarter was all we played.

Hopefully all of the names you have mentioned will be back within the next 3-4 games, some sooner.

Spot on Stenhouse at CHF was good, he still managed to kick five with below average delivery to him.

Geez albion beat altona and they are finals material? james will beat up on all the kak sides.

Spotswood are spotswood. they all run forward of the packs and if they win the ball its good night irene. on the reverse, if they arent getting it out the guts they get found out.

Spotty have to be a top 3 team...thats going on saturday and the way they finished off last year.

Isn't lindsay the bloke who king hit antonowicz from st.albans from behind last year off the ball. Im not sure what you blokes classify as being a coward but from that example im sure the bloke from hoppers is enititled to suggest that he is.

Iwas at that st albans;colts game and saw antonowicz grab one of the smallest player on the ground by the thoat and then saw lindsey(next smallest)hit him.don't know if its cowardest or just two rovers doing all they can against a 6'6 ruckmen.and anyway isnt this thread wrfl and last time I look lindsey was not playing in wrfl.

Re: Western Region Football League team

First time user. Been reading all the posts. I was at the port colts and parkside game and those two sides are going to be very hard to beat. Quick mention on the new players for the colts, Kane Cooper will win the B & F, absolute gun, Julier and McNaulty will be in the WRFL side for the year. Watch out for brannen to make a mark as the best CHF in the league and kealy would have to have the best skills of anyone running around at the moment. The bloke just doesnt miss targets with either foot. There young players in critch, brannen, massis, kealy, bellingham etc... will be the key to them going back to back. Parkside will be right up there again. Heard from a very good source at st.albans that hoppers would be premiership favourites.
