D jacobs will be making his debut for us tomorrow.
K.cooper is off to play with the fitzroy stars in the norther league div2, we have not seen kane for 3 months said he had been sick but if he wants to play somewhere else we let him go.
As for chisnal he was to go play at corowa but changed his mind and wanted to play with us but unfortunately we were at budget and could not afford to pay him, he has a young family and i think he needed the $$$$ to help on the home front.We wish them both luck.

aso rock what hs been the fallout from the incident involving hoppers players and colts members a couple of weeks ago at a hoppers crossing sportsmans day?
Great win to ALBION today full credit to them and the way they attacked the contest, no excuse from us just beaten by a better "TEAM"
I'm sure we will bounce back and get better over the year and i will back my players to get better and still finish top 3, but again well done cats and well coached savalas.

Watched a good game. Albion off to a flyer and if kicked straight (some easy misses) in first qtr. could have been over 6-7-43 to 1-1-7. Clarkey gave the colts a spray at quarter time about pressure and tenacity and wanting the ball. Colts responded with 5goals to 3goals for the qtr. Third qtr Danny Jacobs went onto the ball and gave colts a spark. They kicked 6goals to 4goals and got to within a goal just before three quarter time. Albion got a goal on the siren to lead by 12 points. Last qtr Albion just seemed a lot quicker and kicked 7goals to nil. Spoke to Danny in the rooms after the game and he said his injury is a bone on bone condition. If he twists quickly or hits the ground hard spasms happen to his hip. He left the ground in the second qtr. but played the third but was under a lot of pain during the last. Wonder if he will last the year. IMO good players for Albion No7 Savalas (Coached and played very well) No9 Knezevic a ball magnet No4 Tymms not much of him but in and under started some good attacks No33 Butina deceiving forward has a great leap kicked 7 goals. Port Colts No37 Taylor gave plenty of run and drive No23 Hoath rucked well and ran all day for a bloke 6ft5in. No43 Karaminovski appeared to tag Turner from Albion and did a great job. Clarkey very quiet day and missed a couple of easy shots for his standards. The better team won on the day.

yeh wot happened rock07 still flithy about losing....mate its only a game was looking fwd to having a beer (maybe for u vodka cruiser or a warm woodstock) with ya after the game as ive said b4 worst body language of any player i have seen.....
Not that you need to know but i got to the game early yesterday and missed my 4 yr old son's swimming lesson so i had him with me and took him home, so could not stay.
I always go into albions rooms and really like the albion boys and have some good friends involved in the club, i wish i could have come in and yes dirty we lost and i hate losing but not a sore loser. As i said earlier beaten by a better team, but i'm sure we will learn alot from that, you learn more from losses than wins.ALBION are alot better than i thought, definately top 3 material and will be a challenger for spotty.
Hey Rock how did you rate Danny Jacob's performance?
He was in our best 5, don't think i coached very well though yesterday, especially early.
Danny really had no set position and that's something we will get right over the comong weeks, we have to make sure we play him in spots where he can use his strengths, and really hurt the opposition.
A loss can be a great tool.

rock i thought u were very top heavy yesterday duchy dosnt look fit u had a very tall side i think u need some running players when does winters come back? ur on ballers were very ordinary looked to have no run is there any running players 2 come back because i think u need them 41 was very good in defence i think jacobs didnt do much krusty was very good on him but ur boys will bounce back u have good sprit down ther who got next weekl

We had no run that's true but when we played well in the 3rd for 15mins and got a point up, we weren't top heavy then.....we lost bonnett early in the first quarter, masis and winters to come back and there are a few running types in the two's putting their hands up, so we do have more run to come in.
Danny didn't have a huge influence but it was more our fault than his, we need to learn to use him more, but krusty did ok.......

Correct me if I am wrong but don't Albion seem to upset colts quite a bit.

that was the 4th time i've lost to them in 12 years, but they have knocked us off the last 2 times we've played

where albion really that good? or did colts have more of an off day. seen the cats play st albans week 1 and they looked good but not that good! to knock off colts by 50 points is massive esp with d jacobs playing. colts do have a tendacy of droping games early in the season would i be right in saying this? but always come right at the business end of the season

before you have a go at Rock07 (and reading previous posts you obviously from Hoppers like myself), I dont think we should be worrying other sides when we are not looking that flash ourselves................

Albion are a very good side, colts where a bit sloppy with there skills early but where put under alot of pressure early by the cats.. last week against st albans albion where up by 44 points going into the last q, and had no bench and had a few guy on the field playing with soreness.. also i think albion have a few to come back in dicko, fenton, richards, willams and ali.. colts will be top 3 for sure, just need a bit more run..!

That may be the case mate but dont take much out of the Altona game, we had 5 or 6 very good footballers who did not play to come into that side. Venner,Thomas,Phipps,Downey,Albi,Moody are all stock standard selections and will be returning over the next 2 weeks, will make a big big difference to the side that ran out against Altona.
