I have seen Hoppers play 2 or 3 times over the last few years so if that makes me from Hoppers then so be it, I suppose it doesn't matter that I am 40+ and live in Sunshine (hence the reason I watch more Albion matches) now does it?

Just my honest opinion on the game, Albion are a very different side to last year, at least 8-10 players I didnt recognise, they are very well drilled and will be amongst it come seasons end I just think Hoppers have more scope to work with, younger fitter and more skillfull that is just my observation.

At the end of the day the top 5 is going to be a raffle and any team will have a chance, that is how close I see it.

Albion still have a little way to go to match it with the top 3 sides Port Spotty and SUnshine, they beat an undermaned Hoppers team.

You lot deadset overate your clubs. I have seen Albion play both Douttas and Keilor and both times they got touches up, they are way to small and have more than a few blokes running around who are to large. They played a Keilor team who will be bottom 4 and have loss no less than 15 out of there 21 from last season and a Douttas team that will only probably win 6-7 games and where missing heaps. Sunshine also got touched up by Sunbury who where fielding a deadset shambles of a reserve team, if any of those 2 get within 6-10 goals of the big 3 then I will pin drop of the westgate.

What time is the pin drop big mouth?

Personally its great to see albion playing good footy. Say what you want about the opponents but they still read port, hoppers, stalbans and altona. The first three of which have been tipped to make or figure heavily in the finals this year.

However i am a realist. There is absolutely no doubt that Albion (and all other clubs for that matter) have long way to go. There are so many variables that can bring the season to a holt i.e injuries form etc. The true test of how far a club has come during the season will come finals time. The last i checked the grand final was not won during the first four rounds.

Moving on, Rock i see that perkins kiicked a few on the weekend? has he finally cemented his spot in the 1s or is he still there or thereabouts?

i heard u were so frustrated u ended up at the marquee with beazer. u must of been down and out.

Yeah he seemed shattered at the Marquee. Brings back fond memories. Nothing has changed in the 5 years since I was there last. Its still a meat market, the hot dogs at 6.00 in the morning are gold and Crackers still cant pull 1.

just on rays comments earlier. I think what he was trying to say was that 'IF' Murphy had king hit old Bobby then the Port faithful wouldnt put up with it and would endeavour to even it out so to speak. His choice of words and the way he put it was a little silly and Im sure he was trying to put the wind up Murphy a bit to stir the pot. Ray is a little slow and struggles to put a reasonable sentence together. Murphy didnt hit Bobby so its been and done now and the right people know what happened so thats the end of it.

jack Charlston. He is a freak. I think he is bottom age under 16's this year. Has won 3 or 4 comp medals in a row. Things change when kids get older and people catch up to them we all know that but people who have seen him play say he is 1 of the best juniors they had ever seen, better than a lot of big name AFL players at the same age. A great young kid too and his parents are top people so I hope he does make it.

hard choose for the kid in the next few years, is a gun cricket player as well, footy or cricket what will it be

Dont get me wrong they are a good side and only going to get better over the years, although they beat Port everyone knows Port start taking it seriously when it counts at the business end of the year and they were down to Altona at half time by a few goals, but as a good side would got over the line deffinatly does look like the compition is evening out.

The kid is a talent no doubt but like any player his age still needs to develop certain areas and he is already showing a willigness to learn, kicked 5 from the wing and was taking big grabs fwd and back, he really adds a string to our bow, so definately cemented his spot...at this stage....don't want him to get ahead of himself if he reads this.

All this talk about albion is great for the comp and they are proving to be one of the teams to beat it is along season and they beat us easily, hoppers and st.albans and that's all they can do if they get over sunshine this week almost secures them a top 3 birth at this early stage, so good on them, the only query on them is depth with their reserves near the bottom but if they don't get any injuries that shouldn't bother them.

i agree with this postrock07! Albion are not a cocky bunch of blokes and are well aware that all teams have their high's and low's for the year and at the moment the cats are going very well but a very long way to go. I think it's also great that it's 5-6 teams fighting for a top3 spot this year rather the same 3 teams being just about garanteed in recent years. It's only round4 4 months of footy left in the home/away season so anything can happen.

and also good to see jase had a big one on the weekend. good bloke hope he had a good one. did he play any senior games last year rock07?

The kid is not only a talented player but also very level headed for someone his age. If he grows in the height department and hits the six foot mark (or more) he'll choose football. A bit hard to tell how tall he will be.
The real question is, how will the Jets go about developing him?

Learn the facts of my post little man

"Facts" a term used loosely.

Now back to footy. Looks like an interesting round for big scores this week, apart from the Match of the round - Albion vs Sunshine, with maybe the closest being St Albans and Glenorden. With a bit of rain scheduled for Saturday, might slow a few teams down. Anyone got any injuries.
With luck we should be getting a few back from injury (Mentha, Mc Goldrick, Carroll)

albion sunshine might be just as interesting off the the ground as on it weak as piss 15 blokes on to 1 round 2 should even the score one would think so lets see if the yellow belly dogs can back up friday nites effort

werribee had prismall from geelong but true about spotty good breeding ground i think ward from the dogs was from spotty, and ive seen this charleston kid play very hard in and under medium sized midfilder who just looks a cut above the rest even at the next level.

Jack Charleston is a good talent. Better than Cal Ward and Cal Urch at the same age. Houli though was in a different class and i feel could go on to become a dominate senior AFL player. He is averaging 19 possession a game this year.He is the best junior i have personally seen play in the WRFL.

Care to let us know what happened? It keeps getting spoken about but nobody knows what went on. Should be interesting game this week by the sound of it.

One of Albions players (not currently playing) was bashed by a pack of YC players last Friday night. Everyone was very drunk. The number is between 5 and 20 on one.

Yeah but does anyone really know the facts? Names and real number of people involved it seems everyone is going on rumours and what they have heard.Im not saying it didnt happen but did anyone see it with their own eyes?

Hasn't this talk added a bit to the local derby this week! Absolutely can't wait! Being close to the club it was 1 on 1 then turned 2 on 1 for one punch. Actually lucky that 2 or 3 sunshine boys stopped it or the albion person could have been severely hurt. The albion bloke actually thanked a couple of the sunshine blokes a couple days later for stopping it. It's pretty easy for things to blow out of proportion, especially on this site.
