Almost sorry I asked. Seems as though you have some deep seeded issues with Spotty as a club. You obviously hate them and Spotty wouldn't have it any other way. What an inflated opinion of themselves has got to do with a club report has got me stuffed.
A little story for you. A few years back, Hoppers made a report against a Spotty junior for striking (one punch) one of their players. At the tribunal, one punch was made out to be a Mohamed Ali flurry. A question. Did Hoppers make the report in the best interest of the game and through a duty of care, or did they make the report because they are high and mighty and how dare scum rough up one of their players?

On another note, the loud woman from Spotty was at it again on the weekend. She let one Hoppers boy know exactly how she was feeling after the final siren. Another Hoppers player chimed in with 'Shutup Fatty!" She didn't shut up. HaHa![/quote]

Yes she did have a bit to say and LOUD. Nothing wrong with it, usually don't hear the crowd but can hear her and the lady from Sunshine, if thats what floats there boat good luck to them. filo which player was she having a go at after the game, i didnt hear that:confused:

obviously the grand final should be the main topic of interest, but in division two news, deer park won't be accepting promotion as they believe they aren't ready. So looks like another year of playing on that terrible west footscray ground for our competitions top division. Sucks that the div two premier doesn't feel it could come up though, whilst realistic it's sort of crap for the league.

Not true, they will come up. Goldy said they are a a couple of years behind to be a force in D1, but he has alot of backing to go out and get some high quality players. Deer Park will not be a celler dweller in D1 with players like Luke Summers, Fenton, Duggun and Robertson who are all capable D1 players.

They have new rooms, lights and a very savage buisiness man in Goldy at the helm so i would expect a good showing from them in 2010.

Its a shame Parkside Lost, word has it they are all $$$$ up for next year, to bad the stumbled at the last hurdle.

Instead of Deer Park coming up and just making up the numbers, parkside would have been a finals contender.

Ahwell Hopefully Deer Park can recruit well, and be a force.

Looks like the decision has been made and as a result West may get another chance.

Caught in the headlights

THE biggest shock in local footy finals this season was recorded in the Western Region League division-two grand final between Parkside and Deer Park at Werribee's Chirnside Park on Saturday. Parkside went into the game undefeated; its average winning margin during the home-and-away rounds was 71 points. Deer Park had to win the last three rounds just to make the finals. Then Deer Park defeated Laverton, Albanvale and North Footscray in the finals to make the grand final. Deer Park president Mark McGoldrick said the Lions gave themselves a chance before the game because they had a young side on a big ground. At half-time Parkside led by 21 points. But then Deer Park began to run all over them and the Magpies had no answer. "It was totally unfamiliar for them," McGoldrick said. The tale of the game was embodied by Deer Park midfielder Shaun Harrison, a 19-year-old who had 32 possessions after half-time. Parkside's 34-year-old centre half-forward Sedat Sir, the former Footscray defender, was among the Magpies who starred early before running out of puff. At the 20-minute mark of the last quarter, Sir's opponent, Wayne Duggan, streamed downfield to kick the sealer from outside 50. The Lions won by 21 points. "It was one of those blue-collar jobs," McGoldrick said. "The underdog got up." The curious twist in the tale is that Deer Park will reject promotion to first division. The president said his club's player bill this season was $17,000, a fraction of what would have to be spent to be competitive if the Lions were to go up. "We can't afford it," McGoldrick said.

Thats still more than we spent this season... LOL

molan not guilty tonight,
evidence from hoppers helped luke, maybe now we can move on.
good luck to both teams saturday

So saturday is upon us.

The woodsmen are out to make it 3 in a row.
Can the colts get over that final hurdle, most would say they could just Aswell be in the same position as spotty now with the last 2 cups.

Luke Molan is the key for Spotty no doubt along with okeefe Theodore and Mchie, i argue that mcGhie is as good as julier.

Cant See Spotswood having any changes maybe Puhar for Bond. Delaney is not up to it.

Watch out for Torren bonnet, Chirnside would suit him well, Along with the Jacobbsssss,
Colts forward line is where they will win it, Mcnaulty, Clarke, Perkin, Hoath

colts by 28 points Mgregor Bog

Deer Park would need way more then 3 or 4 guns to beat altona stalbans and would still get no wheer near sunshine. if glen orden play football which they really do then they woldnt beat them either.

Altona done 2yrs in a row in divi 2 for the same reason and then when they did come up they have done really well on and off the the ground.

Also when is the Priest Medal on? Who are the fav for it?

Spotty to go back to back to back a kick after the siren by Little Bones 5pts

If Deer Park wouldn't get any where near sunshine with some extra cash bud, then what is the real reason Tocka isn't coaching anymore? Can't be because of how long he's been there for. Clarke is in his 7th year at colts i think. Maybe the powers to be won't let him buy a couple extra players to have a real crack at it? I'm not sure, but unless it's family reasons then it seems strange.

geez i dont know a great deal about any of the colts players, but after reading your post and doing a bit of research i dont think this match is as cut and dry and most including myself think its going to be

i believe in metro footy that a weeks break doesnt count for too much other than maybe get the odd injured player back, and having only played played one game in 28 days, could well have its disadvantage

looking at past results this year, which i know round 1 doesnt count for much as if i remember rightly PC were well undermanned, but its the 2nd game at murphy reserve which comes to light

SPOTSWOOD Goal Kickers: J. Hucker 5, N. Dumbleton 3, L. Molan 3, L. Sinnott 2, L. McGhie, J. Orchard, B. Kelly, L. Theodore

shut down either perkins or mcgregor and if that one game in 28 days does start to take a bit of a toll maybe we might just see a repeat of last year, i think we r going to be in one cracker of a game

Come finals time i don't think we can really look at the home and away games to much, take our hoppers result 1 and 2 goal results and then we won easily.
Personal has changed alot since rd 1 spotty have 8 or 9 players and i think we will have about the same.
The rd 10 clash we were without massis, bonnett, debruyn, winters and stevens, i think spotty had mangan, patak, pope and foggarty unavailable.
So not a great deal can be taken from those past results, one thing we do is these two teams have had some great battles over the years in particular the last 3 and both sides will be doing all they can to win.
Will be a game to remember!!!!

LOL Danny. So was Goldy talking shi te?

Congrats to Deer Park on a fantastic win, but disappointing for the League that they are opting to stay in div2. Be interesting to see if the WRFL can do anything about it? Not sure how it works there....

Deer Park reserves didn't make the finals and they have no depth or under 18's. Would have to recruit heavily. As well as Duggan played in the GF he is 39 not out and Fenton's best days are well behind him.

Another example of the gulf between the two divisions.
If DP don't come up then there should be no pressure on the league to leave West Footscray in Div1. They will never survive another year. The only problem is, does one less team and a bye work in Div1?

Might be difficult, but can they offer the position to Parkside? Best side for the majority of the year. Bones and West would probably not stand for that.

yer i agree with danny jacobs to win priest medal,
he could also win BOG unless perkins kicks 7 but doubtful
spotty will ensure he doesnt get the delivery he usually gets
and i think the game will be pretty close. spotty could win if they start really well and get a good lead early but i think colts will win by 15 points.
