Richmond made a lot of cheap shots today. Unsociable football gone wrong = lots of free kicks.

mate you cannot be serious about the umpiring ? If you think the umpiring was fair today then gee whiz i must be blind, the umpiring was a farce and a disgrace..

Hardly.

You guys just managed to get frees when you dived into our players leg tripping them over or when we executed perfect tackles and they were paid in the back, etc.

30 frees to 13.

OMG

By your logic, every game must have a 50-50 free kick count, otherwise the umps are favoring one team.

Stop quoting that stupid stat:eek:

So... the umpires all love Glass so much that he can get away with constant infringements? That's your theory?

Not too often he is penalised and does a lot more infringing in the contest than other defenders. Great player but gets away with a lot as all great players do.

I don't care what the count was, Richmond were terrible today at giving away stupid free kicks. Umpires are never 100%, but a big part of the problem lies with Richmond.

Yeah i cant remember how many times i seen a Richmond player fall in someones back after a tackle, Pretty much gifting us free kicks.

It's not the case for every game but today that free count does reflect the massive inbalance and bias in the umpires judgement.

Utter stupidity when people complain about a lopsided free kick count. If one team gives away 30 free kicks to the others 14, then thats what happens. You cant blame the umps for that. There were no obvious wrong decisions. All were there. Half the time the Eagles played on from the free anyway so its not like they were influential.

It took until round 20 to figure out umpires get sucked in by a home crowd? Round 20 of which year?

Well said, they have been as bad this year as ever though it's just pure officiating garbage week after week.

What ? your kiddin me, eagles were gifted 5 goals directly from free kicks that were not there at all.

- St. Kilda are coming, watch out in September
- Melbourne are still pathetic
- Port are so bad it isn't funny, will be a very long rebuild period.
- Collingwood tortured Port, games like that a mercy rule of sorts should be introduced, it was just sad watching it.
- I've learned to never give up on my side, I gave up when Sydney got out to a 12 point lead and we looked like we had given up, but the attitude that makes great teams drove us to a comeback and win.
- Adam Goodes is a superstar, whether you hate him or not.
- If Neil Craig was still coach, Adelaide would have lost by 5 goals today.
- North will be a very good team in a few years.
- West Coast are warming up for September with another good performance today.
- Umpires are getting worse and worse, something has to be done

OMG:eek: What are you smoking. There has never been and never will be a sporting match when umpires don't make a wrong decision, and they made plenty today. Everyone is complaining about the umps week after week, even the commentators have had enough!

I learned Richmond supporters like to blame everything but their sides poor skill level for losses.

I learned that people will say Essendon are good things in the Finals when they win by a point. At home. Against an interstate side.

I learned that my side are still inclined to get a bit too cute with the footy at times and that will cost them against good sides in the finals.

No one is solely blaming the umpires. But we would like a fairly judged game at a profressional level. Surely not too hard to ask for?

Effort was there but we were still ordinary. No need to make things up to suit your argument.

If it was that bad then neutral supporters would be talking about it like the Sydney/Freo and Brisbane/Geelong games a couple of weeks ago. The only ones saying anything are Richmond supporters. Your defenders gave away frees. Are you saying Nicoski wasnt legged in the goal square? Anyway if you took those 5 goals off we still would of won by 5 goals so its irrelevant.

Unfortunate that it is, they always pay that to the person who throws their body in.

The umpiring was poor in the 2nd qtr but other than that I thought it was quite good. WC received more frees because WC had the ball more.

Crowd actually seemed pretty quiet today for an almost sell out.

I didn't see the game, but it is a general reality that umpires tend to get sucked in by loud crowd calls for free kicks.

30 vs 13 is a fair discrepancy but I do agree, sometimes big variances sometimes are justified for various reasons.

Home sides in general are odds on of getting things go their way with all things being equal though.

Are you saying Robin Nahas wasn't tripped when Selwood wrapped his arms around Nahas' legs when Selwood went to ground? Instead, Nahas got tripped, landed on Selwood and it was Selwood's free kick. Seriously that was the worst decision i have ever bloody seen >.>

LOL,neutral supporters would all be barracking for West Coast today so of course they are gonna keep quiet about the shyte umpiring.
