Collingwood do not need to draft any more forwards. Midfielders, Midfielders and then maybe a Key Back is what the pies need come draft day.
Rocca
Reid
Rusling
Dawes
Cloke
Anthony
Medhurst etc... Enough forwards as it is.

Key forward is the last thing we need. Mids, Mids and rucks

Rocca has not got much left and only Cloke and Dawes I would call key forwards but Midfields I have already said.

we actually have alot of defenders, im happy with what we have we have some big men stil developing, and i dont belive we need any more defenders... mind you if we do pick up hurly we can push waite back into the forward line...
waite
jamieson
thornton
bower
setanta
austin
joe anderson for small forwards

what we do need is another key forward and a small rioli type player that would compliment the work betts does...

Key defender and another ruckman for us.

A mature aged ruckman would be nice... somebody needs to put pressure on Laycock to make him earn his spot. We can't expect B'chambers to be the number 2 ruckman in only his second year. I hope B'Chambers can prove me wrong.

Mate I guess you don't get to see a lot of teams in the west. North needs a key backman more than they need key forwards.

We've got Hale, Azza, Jones (when fit), Petrie, who are all able to take a grab and kick goals.

Tarrant and Smith are starting their second year and will probably get a few games in 2009.

All of the above will be more afl ready in the next two years than anyone we draft.

You are right about the mids though.

geelong dont need any defenders,

scarlett
harley
egan back from injury
harry taylor
and mackie can all play tall
and heaps of guys that can play small
plus the bottom three are all pretty young

we need one key forward or maybe a quality ruck so that ottens can spend some more time down forward and not have to do all the rucking while blake is on the bench..... what we really need is two ottens':D

WCE don't need "midfielders", we need pace and good kicks who deliver the ball better. We also need less injuries and our young midfielders to phsically mature and gain game experience. But the worst thing last year was the lack of skill in kicking especially - looked like a bunch of kids a lot of the time (funny that).

C'mon NicNat!

Harley, Milburn and Scarlett are getting older. I would think twice about saying you don't need another key backman.

As for forwards, you have a couple of young forwards that you would hope develop nicely, Tommahawk, Gamble and that Djerrkura (sp?) guy....

Can you name two defenders that have the same potential with coming into your side next year or the year after?

In my eyes the cats need a key defender first and a forward second.

8. Richmond - Ruckman, key forward

Pretty much.

We have enough of both already, and while they're doing OK, none really look like setting the world on fire (yet), so better to stock up on more. Particularly looking for those with the X-factor required to be more than just (further) depth.

I also think all clubs can use more quality Mids...You can never have too many, so they're always an option.

Yeah we don't need key forwards really, we spent part of this year trying out whether to convert Tarrant into a defender because we moved Hale up to FF and we have Josh Smith to go there as well.

We will probably take rookie a ruck and maybe take a forward as a rookie but we'll be after midfielders and a fullback if we've any sense.

well i think we'll get a few more years out of those three anyway but even if we dont we've still got three talls in egan taylor and mackie which is more than we have kpf, tomahawk will prob play next year but gamble (who i rate highly) isnt a key position player to small and not much bulk he is a medium/ small forward who roams around... Djerrkura similar, def not key position player, plays up forward an around the middle.

i'm just saying we get alot of goals but most of those come from the amount of ball our midfield gets, if you look at goals / inside 50 were not as good as some other teams so a key forward makes sense.

hopefully tomahawk takes the next step but lonergan isnt going to kick a bag and going by the same logic as you said mooney will be gone soon (only three months younger than scarlett) and then really we dont have any big forwards that will be able to dominate a game
