I recently tracked down my childhood hero Stephen Malaxos...
- 1984 Sandover Medallist at Claremont
- Inaugural fairest & Best at West Coast in 1987
- captained the club in 1990, and still holds the club record for most possessions in a game - 48!

He was kind enough to sign my 1987 West Coast Eagles jumper, and a few other bits n pieces.. bloody stoked!!

Yeah tend to agree. Although I guess if you're never going to sell it that's fine, maybe under the VFL logo or the Burswood logo would've been better, a little more discreet.

yeah, I actually sent it to him to sign, which could have been a bad move in itself.. :/ It was a bit bigger than I expected, but the man was my hero growing up, so I'm happy with it.

I remember when I was a kid, the Warriors played a WA country XI or maybe a national country XI... or maybe even a touring country. Whatever. Anyway I spent the day with some random kid trying to run up the race to get signatures. The security kept pushing us back so we went back like the other kids and as the Warriors were batting, all these second rate spuds were signing our stuff. I had one of these shirts:

...and some campaigner in the outfield was trying to tell me how I should get that signed. No ****in way. Prick took my equally as vintage cap...

...and signed a whole panel on the side. You aren't Michael Jordan.

Proceeded to run back up the race and Mike Hussey 2004 era proceeded to call me a cool dude and sign all my stuff while having a chat. My old man said 'he'll play for Australia one day.' I just thought he was the nicest guy in the team really.

2006 had a special Heritage Round logo, but 2007 just had the regular AFL logo. I’m not sure which year is supposed to be rarer.

That is an awesome collection!! The first away Port wore and the 1914 PB heritage jumpers are 2 of my favourites!

2006 is more rare. Fewer made and sold like hotcakes (possibly only through the club shop, though can't confirm that) due to being Roo's 300th as crow28 pointed out.

Off the back of that I reckon they went all out for 2007 and I remember them being in Rebel, etc. Less of an important game and we phoned in the same design due to it being 70s round or something. Definitely had racks available for $50 at the end of the season.

This blokes on the Port adelaide facebook group, Port Tradelaide, they probably have the biggest guernsey collecting fanbase from what I've seen, some great collections on that page.
