In that game, Collingwood were 28 points up early in the 2nd quarter, before Geelong kicked 8 of the next 9 goals to go a goal up before the umpire completely stuffed that decision up. It knocked the stuffing out of Geelong, and Collingwood settled to kick clear again. Geelong ended up half a game behind Collingwood on the ladder at the end of the year.
