If you actually read the article - he's liking everything related to West Coast - hardly a sign of not wanting to join the club.

Have your opinion but Reid not wanting to go to WC is not a fabrication. He doesn’t.

Words have meaning mate. The narrative has run from Reid's preference would be to stay close to family, but he's happy to play anywhere. Then Reid wants to stay in Victoria, then Reid specifically doesn't want to play for the Eagles.

West Coast will interview him multiple times and make up their own mind, they won't care if he liked a post here and there. They'll care what he's likely thinking in August 2024 & Aug 25 should they take him and weigh that against whatever clubs have offered us.

The club would rightly back themselves in to keep him, we simply don't lose players due to homesickness especially Vic country boys.

Do also have the gut feel that the AFL will try to push their way in and get involved behind the scenes. There’ll be all sort of pressure from the media and broadcasters not to lose the best Victorian prospect in years, and money talks unfortunately.

2+3 would be more than enough but I still hope we tell them to stick it.

The north and AFL didn't want to be seen giving up access to 2 top 5 picks for one. It's against the narrative. North need as many too end picks as we do, so while it makes sense for us trade down to have more picks, it works against north. I'm not sure the would give access to sanders if the coughed up 2 picks for one.

I've had enough of the post season bullshit on the boards. WCE just draft reid FFS in 3 months time. He's my third favourite player in the draft group but just draft him FFS and if needed on draft night keep an eye on the first round and if needed pay a minor premium to jump pick 19 into Murphy as a true KPD succession plan.

Here is my scenario. Unless someone is able to manufacture a top 3 pick, a top 5 pick and another top 5 pick next year, **** off. Stop the discussion, close it off and turn it all down. Or Melbourne can get pick 4, pick 10, their future first and Pickett or those smug pricks can **** off too. Quickly becoming one of my most hated clubs. WCE don't need JVR, he doesn't play significantly taller than he is and whilst he is hard at the ball and man he gets pushed under it too often, doesn't impact contests well enough and is an average kick.

This is the first week with no footy and the board has turned into a complete farce. Enjoy your weekends everyone, I have lots of footy to watch. Keeping my mouth shut and holding a poker face whilst club staff talk absolute bullshit is doing my head in.
