If you want a government "for ALL Australians" you wouldn't want the Liberals. They're big on sticking it to people they don't like.

Gun laws only happened because of Port Arthur, it wasn't a proactive decision purely reactive. I'll give him credit for risking the backlash with his rural supporter base for the greater good. That was his only game changing reform for the better of his reign.

which then caused them to move
Lost his religous backers
Didnt keep his branches in line so they nearly went unconstitutional
Then nearly lost Moore by having an over 10% swing
Then played footsies with the Alp, hence why he got deputy speaker.
