He had the support of Global Heart Church and he was a compliant lackey for Cormann etc (i.e he was a yes vote if Cormann told him it was a yes)
You may not have read about it where you are but he was apart of the Clan.
Pretty much as soon as Cormann left federal politics it started unravelling for him.
He also had M.Cash strongly supporting him as they were old friends.

Dutton attacking Labor's Jewish MP John Burns, who has been threatened and whose office has been vandalised, for not speaking up about anti-semitism. Despite him speaking up often. What's the racial equivalent of mansplaining because this is both hilariously inept but also dangerous because he's deliberately trying to inflame Israeli/Palestinian tensions here in Australia. What a campaigner.
