you’d have to ask dan. but my guess is he wanted to draw attention to the lack of evidence those cited have produced on the matters he drew attention to in the clip and to their hypocrisy. and do it with some wit. others might have come to different conclusions.

NSW Libs ‘robbed Abbott in 2010’, now Dutton wants to avoid a repeat
Frustrations with the state Liberal Party division stem back to a belief it cost Tony Abbott victory in 2010.
Peter Dutton says 'enough is enough' - the NSW state libs debacle will not be repeated.
The great man is taking charge - as he always does. What a true leader, unlike the current clown show AKA Albo:
“We took a decision at the federal executive to put in place a council of wise elders, who will get the NSW division of the Liberal Party back on track because we can win the next federal election.
“We can only do that if we win Boothby, we want to win Makin in South Australia, and other seats across the country, including in NSW.”
To borrow the line from the Swans club song - ONWARDS TO VICTORY!!

So as part of the take over Rob Stokes was announced as a member of the administration committee... Except no one bothered to ask/tell Rob, who didn't even want the job and said no thanks.
If you're going to orchestrate a takeover because of poor administration, you bloody well better have all your ducks in a row.

And if NSW Lib incompetence did indeed cost Tony Abbott the 2010 election, with hindsight Australians can only offer their profound thanks, given that it gave us the minority Gillard government, the most legislatively effective Australian government in post war history.
