Int: Mackie, Spriggs, Bartel, Moloney
Emergency: Street, Riccardi, Lonergan

Falconer02 how could you possibly have Corey enright out of the team. he is a star and maybe a future brownlow medallist. there are many players that we would trade before him.

& rusty too - Are the Pies trading Lockyer?

Are you trading for Clinton King?

yeah just realized i left out tarks then, and no its david king, been killing it for williamstown all year, was one of the ones pushing to take rocca's spot in the GF

geelong could also get corey mckernan for next tto nothing becuase he is finished at carlton
they could just have a punt with him down forward

any thoughts??

I doubt we can get both Stevens and Brown.. but it would be nice if we could. Given Bucks is 32 (?) next year, maybe basing a side around him in the centre isn't such a realistic idea.. perhaps we may look like this (if we got Brown AND Stevens):

B: Clement Prestigiacomo Johnson
HB: Buckley Wakelin Cole
C: Lonie Woewodin Lockyer
HF: Brown Rocca Burns
F: Didak Tarrant Davidson
R: Fraser Stevens Licuria
I: King J.Cloke Holland R.Shaw
E: Lokan Richards Shackleton

So the above team compared to the 2003 GF team:
IN: Lockyer Brown Davidson Stevens King Rocca
OUT: Davis Kinnear Lokan O'Bree Scotland Walker

Midfield Rotation: Johnson/Buckley/Cole/Lonie/Woewodin/Lockyer/Brown/
Burns/Didak/Stevens/Licuria/Holland/Shaw.
What we would lack though is a player in the mould of Leppitsch/Fletcher who can either play at CHB or CHF, depending on the state of the game/team's requirements. That's where a Jade Rawlings would be nice.. so would we be better off going after him instead of N Stevens? Looking at the amount of guys we could have rotating through the midfield, I would say so. Both would have similar price tags and would be vital for the short term success of the club.

Stiffy, I don't like the chances of both Ladhams & Bode staying.

Also, forget about Biglands at FB, as he will be leading our rucks (what were you telling me about robbing Peter to pay Paul ;) ).

Will do my side later with a bit more thought.

A man can hope can't he. I would keep both Lads and Bodster.

Lets hope Lynch retires so we don't have to think about playing Biglands as a FB;) C'mon Lynchy don't you get sick of kicking a bag against us every time. Time to call it quits:(. If we do get Lade (god help us:() then its not robbing Peter to pay Paul. Lade and Clarke can do the ruckwork while Biglands rots away at FB:(

I just realised I forgot about C.Cloke. From what I've seen he's done really well for Williamstown and is a ruck or forward option, I think. Perhaps including him would be a good thing, (either on the bench or an emergency probably).

I'll give it a shot:

B. Matthew Whelan, Nathan Carroll, Jared Rivers
HB. Clint Bizzell, Ryan Ferguson, Daniel Bell
C. Nick Stevens, Travis Johnstone, Adem Yze
HF. Brad Green, Brad Miller, Cameron Bruce
F. Peter Vardy, David Neitz, Russell Robertson
R. Jeff White, Scott Thompson, Chris Heffernan
Int. Darren Jolly, Steven Armstrong, Nick Smith, Guy Rigoni
Em: Dylan Smith, Troy Broadbridge, James McDonald

I'd be happy with that! :D

He's no good.

F: harding, d.motlop, archer
HF: jones, petrie, grant
C: a. stevens, harris, wells
HB: sinclair, j.rawlings, brown
B: makey, watt, colbert
R: hale, simmo, boomer

I: guerra, porter, kingy, b. rawlings
E: j. clayton, mcintosh, m. stevens

tough team to do cos there are a lot of players in the mix for spots in the first 22 - clayton, stevens both unlucky to miss out which also squeezes firrito out of the 25. putting jade rawlings at CHB disrupts the backline a bit, but thats where i think he plays best, and it allows arch to play up forward where he did effectively in 2003. against teams with a smaller forward line, guerra, kingy or brady can all come into the mix, and rawlings can also pinchhit up forward when against teams with a tall defence. all up a versatile team
