I'm not expert on their team by any means, but they look to have great young players all over the ground, and keeping and developing them would be crucial in them going forward. Acquiring a gun midfielder would be nice and/or getting Matt Johnson back from Basketball wouldn't be bad either. Get rid of sniper Bondy; terrible example of how to go about your footy and quite honestly a disgrace for someone who was so good in his day. Replace him with a younger key fwd.
They'll be a good side again and showed at times in 09' that they could challenge for finals very soon IMO. Should get a couple back from the Bombers next year too, I reckon they should be looking pretty good.

i know you cant go on praccy matches but didn't elmore give strath a touch up at the start of this year
I wasn't at the match but from memory the match against Elmore was our first ever praccy match (played in early March) as a team and were beaten by about 3-4 goals in the end (which couldn't be considered as a touch up). This match was played before the signing of the Hall boys and Andrew Thommo coming to the club. Based on our regular senior lineup in 2009 v Elmore regular line up in 2009 (in which I watch a few of their matches during 2009), IMO I would say (on paper) that the Storm boys would get the nod over the Blood boys by 5 goals or so.
Also watched Heathcote flogged Mitiamo (at Miti) in their practice match by 25+ goals. Both ended up being premiers in their respective leagues - go figure ???

Totally agree, Storm woud do a number on HDFL teams.. Pilcher would ensure Hall, Gawthrop, Sharp etc run amok...
They have had both Halls and Thompson arrive since..

Big suggestion floating around that at least one star is on the move down south.
I would imagine the money got the players more so than Darryl so if their stiil getting their money and the club appoints a decent replacement coach then you would wreckon they would stay.

I would suggest that is not the case actually, due to wilson K flat saved alot of money due to mates rates. alot of players playing well under what they can/could get playing in the BFL or other leagues

I think you might find opposing clubs would find this hard to believe concidering what they offered certain players only to be out done by K/Flat.

Very much a forward. Just a rumour at the moment but we will see. A lot depends on who Castlemaine appoint as coach.
