Tag - I'd read a lot of poor reviews on it, but wanted to kill some time on a flight and be mildly amused. It was better than I'd expected. It scored points with me because it was based on a true story, that these group of guys had been playing tag for 30 years all over America, to keep the fun in their lives. They genuinely looked they were having a great time and so happy to see each other when they came into contact. Much respect.

The First Man - 7/10. Good action sequences of the astronaut training and lead ups to the moon landing as well as the landing itself but way to much personal stuff. Needs more "The Right Stuff" or "Apollo 13" and less "Days of Our Lives".

Falling Down - 1993 - a man one day just says ‘enough is enough’ and decides to take out his frustrations on the everyday world. Awesome performance from Michael Douglas. 8/10

The dramatic story of the terrorist attack in Norway that left 77 people dead by a right wing terrorist, who finished his rampage with shooting 57 teens on an island camp. This is not just a the story of the attack but of those who survived and the court case of the terrorist (a Norwegian) that sees him have to spend life in solitary confinement. It's not an easy film to watch, it's brutally honest in its depictions, and assessments of the motives of the killer and the actions of the government. 7/10

Watching Jennifer's Body (2009)

Love the cameos by JK Simmons with hair, goth Miles Teller and random Chris Pratt appearance

It's virtually Whiplash before Whiplash was born

Fast and Furious - the first one, it was on TV here. Never seen any of them before.
Really macho and more ego than a battleship full of American sailors. Cool action if you like fast cars and I guess it targets the teenage boy and Asian-kit-car-fanatic demographics.

Good bubblegum action if something better like ‘Speed’ or ‘Days Of Thunder’ isn’t showing.

6/10

Yeah I really wanna see this.
Definitely hit it up on Netflix. Is a long movie though at like 2 and a half hours I think, not for the feint hearted either.. pretty brutal showing.

 I really wanna see that. Shall i hit up someone at work to put it onto DVD for me??

Dead Poet's Society and Dangerous Minds.

Next up at the movies will be that Bad times at el Royale with Cheese idk what it's called.
I’d say Netflix has a free run when you first sign up!

Fury - WWII tank drama. Was suitably doom and gloom most of the way with decent FX. Some ‘out there’ moments that were highly unlikely in a real life situation but hey, it’s Hollywood and it’s made for enjoyment. Except the very ending, that was waaaay to hard to believe, totally unnecessary and almost ruined it. 6/10

Backstabbing for Beginners. Average. Whole thing felt contrived from start to finish, and largely it was. I usually enjoy these sort of political thrillers, but this one didn't grab me at all. If it wasn't for Kingsley who kept me mildly interested, I would not have got through it.

Rated it.

Was pretty dark.

What did you think of it?

Saw it last night. Enjoyed it. A non-haunted Overlook Hotel crossed with Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Mind you, I could watch Jeff Bridges in anything and enjoy it.
