Valerian and the city of a thousand planets - haven’t seen a sci/fi that looks as good as this since ‘Ghost in the Shell’. Amazing FX, characters and landscapes.

Reminded me a lot of that old Farscape TV series.

Is pretty cool but light hearted/comedy stuff isn’t my thing.

If you like Guardians of the Galaxy you’re gonna LOVE this.

6/10

To late and tired to do one of my usual reviews, but Kick Ass is on telly so imma give you all a quickie.

Kick Ass: 8.5/10
Kick Ass 2: 5/10
I loved Kick Ass but I don't think I ever bothered watching #2

Awful people doing awful things for no worthwhile, interesting or entertaining reasons. Supposedly the Coen brothers wrote this in the 80s, but they'd basically go on to use this script as the template for Fargo and The Man Who Wasn't There, so there's really no point in watching this when you could just watch those two movies instead.

Wow, Clooney is getting shat on for this.

Fantastic Planet (1973) - Terrific & really weird French animated sci-fi. Set on an alien planet were humans are kept as pets by gigantic Alien creatures, the humans acquire Alien knowledge and set about an uprising. Story is straight forward enough but the imagery is just crazy. All kinds of weird creatures and crazy machines are used on this planet. Absolutely original, very intelligent and all round weird. 9/10

Thank you.

Surely this is the most realistic future scenario?

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The only other time Ive seen the Half Blood Prince is at the movies when it first came out in 2009 and I wasnt a massive fan despite really liking the first five HP movies. I enjoyed it alot more this time around and would probably give it a solid 8/10. Thats up from a 4 or 5/10 in 2009.

Downfall - excellent movie of Hitler’s last days set in his Berlin bunker.
Bruno Ganz is just superb as the NAZI fuhrer.
