Murder on The Orient Express (2017): Average I thought. Looked great tho. Style over substance. 6/10

To the Bone: Lily Collins almost tops Bale in The Machinist here for commitment to a role. She's great but average direction in this film. 6.5/10

The Sixth Sense: We all have 'that movie' that's evaded us yet everyone else has seen. Don't know why it's taken me so long. Brilliant. 9/10

anyone seen the new blade runner? worthwhile seeing?
Saw it Imax on Sunday - absolutely fantastic. (If you can catch it at Imax - it's a treat)

Rear Window (1954) 9/10
For an old movie, this holds up extremely well, and on bluray it looks fantastic. A slow burn thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is in my opinion Hitchcock's greatest film.
Phenomenal movie, Hitchcock made some ridiculous films.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - jeez this is a good film. I actually think it’s far superior to Gump (which has a lot of obvious similarities) but Gump might just be more enjoyable. Everyone is top notch but Blanchett steals the show 9/10
Yeah I liked it too. Very spun out movie in its originality.

The Descent - pretty good except for the ending which is a real balls up. 6.5/10
I love this movie.

Maybe have a look at part 2. It comes together quite well.

Icarus - if you have any passing interest in sport at all this is a must watch. It’s a little tough to keep track of the timelines and a little bit jumpy but it’s just fascinating.

In short dude sets out to take PEDs for an amatuer cycling race in europe, enlists the help of a Russian anti doping official to help, turns into the whole Russians being recommended as banned from the Rio Olympics.

It’s a 7/10 but I was enthralled and give it a 9/10

Justice League.

I think it's on the right track. I enjoyed the cast, thought they ran off each other well enough, not of the quality of The Avengers films but it was alot more fun than I thought it was going to be... barring the weak villain. I found The Flash's humour a little too much at points, film is definitely not perfect but it's better than I thought it would be.

Thanks I reckon I'm gonna see this tomorrow. I looked it up and IMDb gave it an 8.4 but it got pretty ordinary reviews from news.com and a couple others so I held off going today.

Sounds like Lance Armstrong meets Supersize Me.

Keen.

Justice League- 6/10. First half hour is atrocious, giving each character a solo entrance scene. So much unnecessary exposition but settles into a solid popcorn film. Aquaman and Flash the stars of the show. Also CGI to cover Cavills moustache is probably the worst thing ever put to film.

Wind River: A slow burn classic from the writer of Sicario and Hell or High Water, Taylor Sheridan and my personal favourite of the 3.

Perfect pacing, perfect acting and a very solid effort as a first time director, drawing great performances from every single character.

His follow up to Sicario will be one of my most anticipated flicks of 2018.

9/10

Thor: Ragnarok

Thor_Ragnarok_poster.jpg

Good clean classy fun in the cinema, and the best Thor (though I barely remember part one). This is a straightforward action/adventure flick with no messing about. No romance, no drama, no philosophical debate, just action and humour and pretty visuals and a cool score full of synth done very very well. That's about all I have to say, not much can I add about this that you can't read said better elsewhere on the internet. Only things that irk me would be the CGI. Not in a bad effects way, but the use of it. I knew to expect it but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it. Another comic book that relies on big CGI shitfest scenes rather than a bit of old fashioned fisticuffs or shootouts between real actors on sets with real backgrounds.

8/10

This is a movie I haven't seen and have always wanted to but I feel I won't enjoy it since the twist has been spoiled for me thanks to many tv show references (I'm looking at you Scrubs).

However I enjoyed se7en even though the ending of that got spoiled but tosh.0 of all bloody show's so who knows.
