The Goblet of Fire seriously pissed me off. It was so shit compared to the book
still pissed about how much they cut from the world cup etc

I might give Order of the Phoenix another go when it's on. I remember being disappointed by the film and to be honest don't remember much from the book either.

Jungle - pretty good survival movie about a group of adventurers who go searching for a rumored lost Indian tribe in the Amazonian rainforest in the 1980’s.

7/10

Yeh I would if I was you. Order is my second favourite book and movie after Prisoner. I've just recently finished re-watching the HP movies and I found I enjoyed the last three movies more than when I watched them before. Maybe because it's been years since I have read the books so I was able to appreciate the movies for what it were rather than comparing them to the books. This will possibly be he case for you and Order.

The first two are without doubt kids movies, but POA started a shift. As I said in my review though, I don't think the other movies went 'dark' as well as POA and felt a bit try hard. Also Daniel Radcliffe changed and his appearances shifted far away from the books and cover art.

Jurassic Park - 10/10
The Lost World: Jurassic Park - 9/10 Only criticism is the way the crew died on the ship carrying the T-Rex
Jurassic Park III - 10/10

Yeh first 2 are definitely kids movies and Prisoner started a shift towards the series being 'dark'. I think Goblet failed to carry this on well. From Order onwards I think they got it pretty right in that way.

I thought Goblet done well, remembering it's source material. I reckon it was best Harry too. A messy mop of hair was the way he was always described, but only had that in one film ffs.

Sloth day on Monday, so watched a few that have been sitting there for a while....

Ingrid Goes West 6/10 possibly a 6·5

My Cousin Rachel 5/10 and I'm being generous

Atomic Blonde 6/10 Would have been a solid 7 without the stupid ending.

Murder on the Orient Express

Completely and utterly fine. Nothing remarkable about Branagh's film one way or the other.

Detroit

If you like watching black people suffer and have generally negative attitudes towards African Americans, here's the movie for you!

Bigelow :(

Rear Window (1954) 9/10
For an old movie, this holds up extremely well, and on bluray it looks fantastic. A slow burn thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is in my opinion Hitchcock's greatest film.

I weirdly enjoyed the Jurassic Park 3. I know it wasn’t good but I was into it.

Over the last few days

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - jeez this is a good film. I actually think it’s far superior to Gump (which has a lot of obvious similarities) but Gump might just be more enjoyable. Everyone is top notch but Blanchett steals the show 9/10

The Descent - pretty good except for the ending which is a real balls up. 6.5/10

Miami Vice - garbage. Total garbage, I’d forgotten how bad it is. 2/10
