I wanted to earn some brownie points with wifey, so took her to see "Bridesmaids" a couple of weeks ago.

It was the chickiest flick I think I've ever seen. I could've sworn Estrogen was dripping from the projection screen. Pretty sure my body was mutating and I was growing a uterus by the time it was over.

The Adjustment Bureau
Little bit slow, fairly solid i suppose
6.5/10

Seriously the worst movie I've seen this year.
A flaccid loves story wrapped up in corny sci-fi.

Cowboys & Aliens: 3/10 (The last 15 minutes will have you...........anything but feeling good)
Earthlings: 7.5/10 (Confronting doco to turn you into a vegetarian)
Oldboy (again): 9.5/10 (Almost beyond brilliant)
Unknown: First half 6/10...Last half 2/10 (Been there, done that.)

I watched Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window today. An absolute masterpiece from the master of suspense that I never get sick of seeing.

Brilliant movie. Interesting the sort of lifestyle they lived in those days.

Just watched 12 Angry Men, wonderful film.

Which film? Henry Fonda or Jack Lemmon?

Really?

It was fairly slow and the storyline didn't grab me but I've certainly seen far worse

I guess its not THAT bad but it did leave me feeling a bit gutted. I was glad that I could come out of the theatre into the sunshine and have coffee with a pretty girl afterwards.

Great film but very maudlin.

If he had chosen Cupids Cove, that movie would have had a totally different ending. :D

Nah seriously, yeah it was a depressingly sad movie, but I dunno, it didnt effect me that much at all. The only time I cried, was the scene where Gosling was helping that old man set up his room in the retirement village. It was just so so heartbreakingly sweet what he did for that man, even tho his workmates were all like "hurry up we have to go".

Yet the final scenes of the flim I was like "Meh, whatever".

Am I missing something????

Just didnt get to me, I dont know why... maybe I have to watch it again.

The performances were ****ing brilliant tho. Brilliant. :thumbsu:

Nah nah, you didnt spoil it at all, dw.

Just cold hearted I guess, Lol.

(And I felt happy at the end of Boy in the Striped Pjamas, for the record )

Btw- question about the movie. The guy at the start, that she saw at the liquor store, was that the guy she was screwing while she was still at school? In the flashbacks?

Spoiler: And did Goslings character turn into an alcoholic, was that the main reason for the break up in the end?
