If we'd had to play at Skilled, we would have won.Enjoy your GF win mate but you have to admit the AFL helped you out a fair bit with Richmond not having to travel away from the MCG at all during the whole of the finals campaign!! Wonder how it would have all worked out for your team had you had to travel to Skilled Stadium that first week and had you lost to them, then would have had to travel to Adelaide? I know it's all "ifs and buts" but the question does have to be asked? Can understand some people who may say the AFL dictates as to who will be the winner of the GF on the day.Anyway good luck to you and enjoy the win while you can as a year is a long time in football!

I sort of figured winning a flag gives a team's supporters a bit of license for floggery and gloating. And amazingly, they haven't been as dreadful as Hawfs or Shitney fans from what I've observed (or maybe they're still in disbelief!)
Dont know what you're getting your knickers in a knot about - have no issue with you winning the GF and enjoying it but just stating facts that it's not always a fair playing field, that's all. You Vics are just so sensitive if anybody throws an alternative opinion! As I said enjoy your win while you can. Will be interesting to see if you can repeat it again next year?

Lol since when did you get to make the rules,first it was you're shit you never make finals, then we you're shit because we make them but dont win them, then its because we never make Grand Finals and so on, now apparently we have to win multiple flags before we can be obnoxious, well my friend EAD, your club norf, is a joke that even 10million isnt enough to get players to come across to, whereas our club, Richmond have another nice shiny cup for our trophy cabinet.

The difference in corporate demand for events and seats that the AFL get at the MCG versus a shanty town like Geelong is stark. Those are the biggest money tickets. Trust me, it's worth their while.
