Average age is one of the most irrelevant stats in any sport.

Assuming Jake Niall's arrived at the following insight of his own accord...
Typically, the average age of a team should more or less align with its position on the ladder. It is also more meaningful to compare the senior teams selected, the weekly 22, rather than the average age of the playing list.
The age old question

Where are the Saints at?

I can tell you where they aren't, and they aren't in the same league as the Dogs.

PS. keep sticking with the golden oldies sainters, they'll come good.

Is that sarcasm? I would of thought Montagna or armitage would of averaged that?

Armo 29
Montagna 28
Steven 27

I see you deleted your 'wow' comment at Armo and Steven having a better year than any of your mids....both have IMO but obviously St Kilda lack the midfield depth of the Dogs.

Libba is a gun when healthy. Can't take that from him. Don't understand where you get the idea we have more midfield depth from you guys. Your midfield is just as good as ours. We have lost Higgins, Cooney, griff and Libba this year

But is Armitage better than Libba?

I'm giving your club a wrap...your midfield overall has more talent and depth. But I reckon Armo is having a better 2015 than any of your mids in 2015, that's the quote you seemed to disagree with.

Yes, Libba is a very good player. He's younger than Armo and he's coming back from a knee so it'll be interesting to see how he rebounds and how his career pans out. Just my opinion but Armo's best (on this years form) I have ahead of Libba's best. That doesn't mean Libba doesn't improve with age and improve his game even further and overtake Armo's best.

Seriously, how unnecessary is this? The question of the thread is 'where are St Kilda at?' so why do you need to come in here and try boast about your club. The Bulldogs are playing well, and I hope you continue to play well. Yes, you're better than us at this stage but neither team is anywhere near their finished piece yet.
