I wanted to dislike Saad but I actually can't. He's the only player I believe left us for genuine homesickness.

I was gutted to see him not have that insane breakaway speed and dashes today.. Despite this he played a very good team game. One of their only players who can hold their head high.

Most won't agree but I can't actually bring myself to hate him. All the others can suck my knob.

If you’re genuinely homesick do you sign a contract extension and then bail after 1 year? I think Essendon wanted him and kept into him and knew that he could use the go home factor

If he was genuinely homesick he wouldn’t have nominated Essendon he’d have said “send me to any Victorian Club and get the best deal you can get”.

Guys I know many won't agree and your points are fair. It's just my feeling on it.

FWIW I also had a mate go over and play for Coburg for a few years. He said that it was going to be a genuine struggle for Saad to cope without his family (my mate is a Sun's fan btw he got on with me in 2010 after he previously supported the Tigers).

I dont usually take this route but given what Saad wrote on Instagram etc when he.left and the information I've been given on him as a person from ex teammate's I am taking him on face value. I'm comfortable with my view on this.

In saying that though there is no reason for me to insist he shouldn't be disliked by Suns fans. All valid points made by those in disagreeance.

I hate this logic. It doesn’t matter in the slightest what we paid for him. He was a best 22 player and we got ****** in the ass in return.
Only way we got screwed is because we had to deal with essendon. 2nd rd pick is fair value for saad. Likely between 25-29 this year. In a draft rated much better then last. Probably the equivalent of picks 18-22 from last years talent.

It's not a personal thing for me about Saad- he always gave 100% and looks like a decent human being.
Unfortunately though he's another brick in the "Leaving" wall
Why wouldn't players want to go and play in front of 80,000 at the MCG on a regular basis?
I'm sure his reasons for leaving are genuine but as a Suns man I have to acknowledge the damage it does to us as a Club

Hey fellas, hope use don’t mind the intrusion, but imo Saad is an absolute steal for the Bombers. He needs to work on his defensive mindset a bit, but I thinks he’s been good pick up for the Bombers considering they are playing like crap.

Maybe go tell the Bombers board then?

Use were talking about Saad though ? Was just trying to make conversation.
Haha you may find people are very touchy around here about players leaving.

Especially when we let Saad go. So probably the way you worded your original post, may have probably come across like you were just shoving it in their face.
