Next Captain of Collingwood...with out a doubt, not that, that makes him a better player but he will be chosen above Rocca and Licuria because he is young and expireced if you like..
Top 50 only just, but many peole that don't barrack for Collingwood actually support the guy so that must mean something. People like him because he seems like a genuine down to earth bloke on and off the field, unlike some players like CHAD AND KANE CORNES....totally unrelated but any way

Between 50-100.

I'd rate him about the same level as Woey.

Thats a bit harsh to Woey, allthough Tarks is a great player his profile will drop dramatically now that he missed a whole year.

Woey, is a brownlow medalist, and carries the ball beutifully

its easy to forget how good a player he was before his injury. definatly missed in our team

Agreed

Also think that his injury was or is the reason that Shaw is still in the side, very similar players with the only difference being that Tark's kicking is absolutely exeptional, with in 40 Meters the guy is next behind Buckley.

I've been extremely pleased with the team this year, the new inclusions have done their jobs well and a few of our players have improved considerably since last season (Tarrant, Holland and so forth).

Finishing second and with a chance to secure a Grand Final birth, it's hard to imagine that we've still got a player of Tarkyn's class to come back into the team. I've been a huge fan of Tarkyn for quite some time, for such a young player to become part of the leadership group so early speaks volumes of his character both on and off the field.

A very important part of Collingwood at the present and into the future, I look forward to seeing him back out on the field next year.

He is great, one of my favorites, but unfortunatly might be used as trade bait.
I think he would get a game ahead of Shaw, Lokan, Williams, Kinnear. Holland should stay in because of his tagging abilities. Next year Tarks should rotate with Woewodin and O'Bree off the bench/flanks when he gets back. There are 5 spots for midfielders on the ground at a time and it is hard to fit Buckley, Burns, Licuria, Woewodin, Lockyer, O'Bree, Holland and Scotland in while rotating the likes of Didak, Johnson and Lonie through there at times.

Tarks is a tad overrated. However he is a great club man and a very good player and he will most likely play at Collingwood in 2004. Dont be surprised to se him traded to a Perth club if a suitable trade pops up, but MM woudl prefer to keep him I'd suggest.

His form in 2002 was not as good as the previous years, so he has a lot of catching up to do to return to his 2001 form.

Im not one to over rate him, i beleive he slots in the 100-150 section. He is very consistant and a great contributor. I would be more than surprised, more than astonished, flabbergasted wouldnt go close to summing up my feelings if Tarks was traded.

You can't be serious right?

Who at the club would you rate above him...I would suggest that maybee four or five players if that..

Buckley, Rocca, tarrant, Clement, and then Lica closley followed by Tarks...He is one of the most consistent players along with Bucks and Lica

I'm not saying anything about he will get in before players like him, him and him but we all know that he certainly is in the side each week. He would have been in my top 100 but the knee did put my mind off him and made me think differently. 50-100 was in my sights but in the AFL he would be in the 100's and close to inside 100.

Definately the next Skipper for Collingwood. A very respectful player.
