<puts on tin foil hat>

Does anyone else think that the Suns might be prepared to sacrifice a 1st round pick and shove Caddy into the PSD to make an example of him to other young Suns that may be thinking about leaving in the future?

Why would they do something that would cost the Suns more than it would Caddy? Not much of a lesson in that except those negotiating the trade are morons. Caddy will get traded you can be sure of that. The GCS aren't that stupid!

On a side note I had to laugh when Damian Barrett said yesterday that Norf were too timid to go hard in the trade period and that's why they wont get anyone or anything of much value. LMAO

Caddy wouldn't go in the preseason draft. He go in the national draft and likely be drafted by St Kilda at 13

lol Toy will be delisted.

GC need to clear out list space, clubs know this.

lol first round draft pick for a guy who iirc, averages 3 disposals per game.

Nice nickname...still sour about Gaz heading north.

Caddy will get to Geelong, dont get your knickers in a knot...its barely been the 3rd day! There is still 12 more days to go, get used to it.

Not Sour....I just think the GC beleive they own the place for a mob that has won less than 10 games in 2 years they have a lot of cheek

Only two teams in the competetion are silly enough to do something like that

Stupid bigfooty perception, everyone at the club is very respectful of all the other clubs and their history. All you have to do is see any of McKenna's, Ashcroft, or any other senior member. Theres lots of hard work to be done to earn respect in the competition.

Just because a few spoilt brats on bigfooty dont get their ideal trade where it favours their supported club within the first 24 hours, its just spreads like a wild fire. Its ridiculous.

Seeing as they want 2 first rounders for Caddy, I'd suggest GC have an...interesting way of earning respect.

Weird again if you think respect is gained at the trade table and not the football field.

Been to a negotiation before? Bought a house perhaps? I dont want to spell it out for you, but when 2 parties come together in a negotiation one is usually high, the other is usually low...theres some to and fro and they find somewhere in the middle.

GC have done plenty of deals in our 2 short history if you look back, its a long trade period be patient. People in the football community need to pull their head in and no expect to offer their scraps and expect a result in the first 2 days.

I guarantee the deal will probably be fair in the end ;)

There's "too high", then there's "crazy".

Caddy hasn't even played 30 games and finished 18th in your B&F this year; is that worth the same as what we got after the best midfielder to play the game left us?

missing the point, your impatient and obviously have no idea how negotiations work.

That was the AFL's decision, not either of the clubs. In my opinion Ablett would be worth pick 1 and 2 but that was never going to happen by the AFL. Regardless not going to derail any further.

Read up about negotiations perhaps.

Once you show some, I'll do likewise.
