Never really into Baseball a whole lot until a couple of months ago. Trip the States, mate over there got me into it (Cubs fan) but haven't really fell in love with that team nor any other team for that matter. Kind of the like a team with a good young group of players. Thinking the A's, Cubs, Rangers or Rays, all in the bottom 10 with regards to age. Taken a shining to Price and Longoria, may jump on the Rays bandwagon. I don't know, any help? :p:eek:

Well, if you're going for youth, Tampa Bay is the ticket- and Price and Longoria are two stars that will only get better. Might look at Washington- with them getting Harper signed, they might have a real combo putting him with Strassberg

Angels.

Still feel we should have won it in 08.
If only Aybar could bunt. Or K-Rod could throw a pitch to the Red Sux without it leaving the park.

I'm an Angel fan too. I go over at least once a year for games. I got to Opening Day this year, and about 10 games all up in April and June/July. I try to watch about 120/130 on the computer and TV. Yeah...I have no life!

I think i've got my team, Aroldis Chapman...i mean the Reds. Quality young pitchers in Johnny Cueto (24), Travis Wood (23), Mike Leake (23) and now the rocket in Chapman (22). Then young hitters Joey Votto (26, potential MVP), Drew Stubbs (25), Jay Bruce (23), Yonder Alonso (23) and a few of the older fellas like Rollen at 3rd base and Brandon Phillips. 8 up on the Cards in the Division, good young team that are having results and seem to have just turned the corner after 9 straight loosing seasons. Haven't been to the playoffs since 1995 either.

Atlanta Braves.

Started supporting them after they lost to the Twins in the 1991 World Series. This was back in the day when the play-offs were pretty much the only way to see baseball on Australian TV.

The nest season, 1992, was I think the season when Sid Bream scored late in the NLCS to give them a dramatic win in game 7.

The Yankees.

Heading over to the US soon, the love of my life is a Michigan girl. Would drag her to NY, but gonna be too late for this season, too early for next.

Next year tho...hopefully.

Yankees
Wife and I are heading to New York next year where i will realise a life long dream of seeing the Yankees at Yankee stadium. Looked at the dates with the schedule already out a noticed when we will be there they play 3 series in a row at home. First one a mid week series against the Red Sox (could that be any better) 2nd against the Indians and third against the Rangers. Going to be the best 2 weeks of my life.

Am heading over with g/f in late September / Early October. Will catch the end of the 3rd last series, will be there for the Red Sox series at Yankee Stadium and still around for the ALDS :)

Will sit as close as humanly possible for the first game i go to (i think vs Orioles) and am arranging to sit with the Bleacher Creatures for the Red Sox game.

Cubs, chose to support Chicago in all American sports.

Then it was a decision between the Cubs and WSox, chose Cubs as they haven't won since 1908. Hopefully I'll see a World Series win in my lifetime.

Giants. Have friends in Mountain View (Silicon Valley) who took me to my first game in 2005. Ended up seeing 4 more while there plus 1 game in Oakland. Needless to say pretty happy atm. Only wish I was back over in San Fran to watch it.

Phillies.

Heading over for opening series vs Astros then i'm headed to the masters for a week then i'll catch the series vs Marlins before coming back.

It's going to be an exciting year, Lee is a massive get so hopefully some of the older hitters can find some form again and we'll have a real shot.

I really want to get into MLB next season. I need a team! Here are my current teams I support. Suggestions? I'm thinking Red Sox or Yankees just because they are in cities that I love. Am I being a bandwagoner if I follow one of these teams?

AFL: Western Bulldogs
NBA: Boston Celtics
EPL: Tottenham Hotspur
NFL: Buffalo Bills :(
A-League: Melbourne Heart
NRL: Melbourne Storm
Super Rugby: Melbourne Rebels
ABL: Melbourne Aces
AIHL:Melbourne Ice
NHL: Looking for a team
MLB: Looking for a team

If you love those cities, why not? I wouldn't call you a bandwagon supporter. Besides, at least those teams will ensure you get to see you fair share of games on TV over here. I'm hoping now the Giants won, I get to see more.

I love Boston, so follow the Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics. Used to follow the Pats but switched to the Jets after going to see them live last year. I think that sort of logic is fine!

FWIW, trip to Fenway was a life long dream realised, awesome place.

White Sox

because: every person I've ever met from Chicago goes for the cubs, and in 2005 i watched the playoffs/world series for the first time and needless to say its easy to see why I jumped on board the white sox, plus they have the coolest looking logo.

I think I'll go Red Sox. For NHL I'm undecided between San Jose, Rangers and Boston.

Seattle Mariners.

Back in the day Ken Griffey Jnr was my favorite player and that prompted me to go for them. Follow them as much as I can now. Love Ichiro's work!

Was never really interested in baseball. Until I watched a game on an airplane last year and loved it.
It was the game Roy Halladay threw a no hitter against Cincinnati and that got me on the Phillies bandwagon. I followed for the rest of the post season.

Can't wait for my first real season as a Phillie to start.

worst time to get on them since they have the best ballpen of the modern era :D

I'd call bandwagoner...but you've got the Bills so clearly you aren't :D

Anyway, I'd watch a few games into this season and watch a few teams before making a decision...
