Last millennium, even

I think there's only about 3-4 current players left in the comp that played in the 90s (let alone the early 1990s like Fletch)

Fletcher, Harvey and Goodes are the last of the 90s crop.

Scotland and Hayes retired last year.

Debuting in 2000 were R Shaw, Pavlich, Chapman, R Murphy and McPharlin.

Dustin Fletcher has gone on atleast 5 years too long. I feel like the stronger clubs such as Hawthorn, Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood would never let that happen.

If a player is still good enough then age should never be an issue. It's only an issue on bigfooty as we are all obsessed with youth
I agree completely. However, i feel Tayte Pears (Among others) output is better than Dustins, yet, Fletcher keeps getting games. This is damaging the development of pears and taking up a useless list position.

Reckon he's a good candidate for a bounce back year this year, personally. The anticipated move back to the midfield should be good for him and he's exactly what Geelong needs in there.
Yeah as I was writing that I thought he could probably have a good year if he was put back in the midfield. Hating watching him in defence, had to scrag so much to compensate for his slowness.

He finished top 10 in the B&F, surprisingly enough. But I agree, he was exposed a bit down there last year and made some shocking mistakes. He used to be quite useful in defence around the late 00s. It's not out of the question that he falls away, but I think the early signs have been promising for Kelly in the midfield.

Ryan Crowley but for the usual reasons, became a liability towards the end.

Staying on Freo I really hope McPharlin won't fit this criteria at some stage this year, out of him, Sandi and Pav though he's the most likely candidate.

It won't fit mcpharlin because he's only playing at the behest of the club (that's my read of it). Had you secured frawley he would have quit. So whether he plays 8 or 18 games - it's not as though he's trying to eke out extra games for his own legacy, rather showing loyalty to his club who have asked him to go on. He won't be the AA winning FB - but as long as he's better then the next best option - it suits Lyon

While at 31 it's fair to say this may be his last year, Firrito was pretty damn good last year.

Do you watch North play?

I do and Firtito is one of most undisciplined players I've seen.
