Yeah we are going to move on our number 1 ruck who has been playing excellently the last 2 months.

Also i'm no fan of Baguley but to suggest he doesn't give his best effort each week is simply not true.
T Bell, no.1 for two months, he's been here for how long
Bags, best football behind him, makes too many costly mistakes, it's obvious he's a coach favorite.
Dea is not on coaches radar.
Stanton is done and dusted, deserves to get to 250 you tell me does he get it.
I'm a fan of them all but there is a thing called the real world.

Im not sure who from our list will move on. Poppy and Whitecross are always mentioned. Schoenmakers I think is out of contract as well - but he is now getting regular games.

Of the actual stars, I think there is some talk of Gunston and always talk of Breust - but Breust has a long contract so that wont happen.

Other than that, Hodge and Gibbo retire. A few kids will be delisted - as always happens. If we dont see Heatherley play again this year then he will be one of them.
I would like Puopolo at Melbourne. Is Schoenmakers a better forward or defender?

I'm not sure what'll happen with us and exits will most likely not be driven by the club. Not a hugely strong academy year.
Stevie J will retire, I expect that will be mutual and hopefully he takes up a coaching role.
If Kelly goes we'll be in the draft big time with early picks and Hopper may go as well as per the vibe. As usual most will stay.
Johnson is done. May get dropped when you get players back. Hopper? Really? Talk of going?

Anderson, Gibson, Swallow, Thomas, Hansen, Goldstein, Daw, Brad Scott all seem to be leaking salary cap and cash unnecessarily.

The long list of injury prone crowd should get a reprieve as the list clogger/d grade form element is so high.

The fall guy Fordham likely to cop the bullet untried with a few love child spuds kept on the books to throw money down the drain.

Goldstein/Swallow/Daw/Hansen/Thomas all available for trade.
Is Hansen good? Would he be a good defender for a club in the mix? Us perhaps?

Probably didn't give this enough thought because you can also add Mitchell, Giles and Petrie to the retirements and Tunbridge, possibly Wellingham and maybe Masten to the delist/trade bracket.

Plenty of turnover - hopefully - needs done.
I don't think think Masto or Wellingham have any particular trade value but I don't see them being delisted either. They aren't old and are still solid back-up in case of injury. No team is going to turn over a quarter of its list and there are other candidates ahead of these two (and Hill, imo).

Yeah
Leon has a fair bit of influence at the selection committee, and he's thick behind Stevie J. That's why I'm suggesting end of season.
I dont think Hopper wants to stay. People who are usually right with sources at the club suggesting he's gone. Lack of any word kinda suggests that anyway. Dont doubt he'd have been offerred an extn long ago, orobabky last year, as per Taranto, Setterfiekd and Perryman this year.

You'd get good compensation for him

Probably not, although it could come off.

He's got a bit of public school Jack Watts about him and when on, is very good.

Not afraid to get under a ball with strong hands and a decent foot, but the concussions through awareness issues are catching up with him.

Certainly has the skills. It's all upstairs so you never know what another system/coach could get out of him with decision making/intensity/physicality/role and switching him on each week. Could be a Brian Lake if he wasn't so much a Watts.

Players that will request a trade:
McGovern & Lever
Players that will be delisted:
Ellis-Yollmen
Paul Hunter

Not sure if Harry Dear and Dean Gore are contracted for next year but if they're not they will be delisted.

Lonergan, Mackie retired
Motlop traded (if anyone wants him)
Cowan delisted
GHS may ask for a trade
Mackie may continue - age & form warrant one more year.
Cowan - retired/delisted
Motlop traded/retired/managed out
Stanley - will ask for trade
Lonergan - retired
